"Caroline, the proprietress of the Victorian by the Sea, is a delightful hostess. The inn itself is lovely and beautifully maintained, with colorful, well-tended gardens. Our beds were very comfortable and we slept very well. Breakfast was also delicious, served in a beautiful room with a view of the sea. "

"We were traveling with our adult daughter and Abigail’s Inn offered a queen room with a separate adjoining smaller room with a twin bed. Perfect for our needs. David and Steven were more like our hosts than merely property owners. They personally served gourmet breakfasts every morning of our stay. I would highly recommend Abigail’s Inn and I would happily stay there again."

Full disclosure, they did rebook us at a motel in the area, but that wasn't much of a birthday "gift". "

"Delightful in located blocks from the ocean in Castine. Really great breakfast, bikes available to use, good wifi. There was a power outage due to a storm while I was there and while the building didn't have a generator, breakfast was still served the next morning and I noticed very little difference to the inn's normal procedures. Just a small thing, I don't think the heat in my room was on and it felt about 10 degrees colder in there than in the hallway outside. This is likely not an issue for...
