暑すぎて寝れないし床は軋むし、壁薄すぎるし、周辺はど田舎だしで最悪ですが。これはむしろバンコクの暑さと衛生環境をしっかりと認識られたいい機会でした。 価値観を変えたい人におすすめ、人生どうでも良くなる

If you’re the adventurous type and want the vib of a backpacker hotel in an area where real Thai people live…. Not a hyped up entertainment district filled with foreigners…. Then this is a great choice. It’s a 5 minute walk from the Thewet boat landing, so access is easy. There’s a real Thai covered market on the way, a Wat just 1:2 block away, and best of all the restaurant was lovely for every meal we had…. From fruit and muesli bowls, omelette s, pizza, Thai dinner dishes, smoothies…. Everything! AC and a fan is a must for a room which we had. Staff was friendly. This place deserves to be full all the time, just for its overall character. Just try it for a couple of nights!

Lovely accommodations. We stayed in the Fabulous Family Room for 4 with our 2 teen daughters and it was perfect. Tuk tuk always avalable and ferry an easy walk. Delicious restaurant! Great staff!

Haven in Bangkok
Great place with loads of character, helpful staff booked out onward night train for us and the food is great, only a short walk from the river ferries and tuk tuks are always outside if you need them.

Mixed experience. Downstairs space is pleasant and staff helpful enough, but the room is horrible. The toilet is in the room, with a low peer-over wall separating it from the bed, and a saloon-style swing door, so no privacy. Nobody shares a room unless they’re comfortable with the other person, but this takes the concept of no privacy to the extreme. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. On checkout, my food and drink bill seemed higher than expected. When I questioned it, it turned out they had added someone else’s bar bill to my account. They removed it, but only after I queried it. There didn’t seem to be any control over whose bar bills were added to which room. The hotel is next to a river-bus stop, but far from the metro.

Pleasant Stay
Disclaimer: I did not interact too much with staff, used the in-house restaurant, or any of the other services such as laundry washing. I was mostly out and about, however my few interactions were very pleasant. Room was clean, had everything we needed (AC, comfortable beds, soap, shampoo, wastebin). Only downside is that it can be a bit far away from nightlife if thats what you're into, and a little over 10-15min away from nearest BTS station (Paya Thai and/or Ratchateiwi) depending on traffic, which is horrible in Bangkok. Otherwise, its an amazing stay, definitely recommend

Misrepresentation, filthy, disgusting service
Failed to honor prepaid reservation with room as described in their listing, claimed different definition of room than they advertised, then claimed they gave me a "free upgrade" - to a room which still had none of the advertised space, condition or amenities. The place is not "funky," but FILTHY! E.g. bathroom mirror has not been cleaned in so long it's crusted & useless, & it's broken as well. Poor service, inconsistent food quality (e.g. cheeseburger may be overcooked "crispy critter" one time, half-raw another, and okay the third. No service - very inattentive personnel - go get one of them, ask for a cup of coffee, and an hour later, you still might be waiting.

Einfache Absteige gut gelegen mit schöner Bar
Die Bar und die Rezeption sind schön und somit freut man sich bei der Ankunft hier gebucht zu haben. Das Zimmer hingegen war dann sehr einfach und eher lieblos eingerichtet. Das Klo ist hinter einer Wand aber im selben Zimmer - nicht jedermanns Sache. Ein ringhörigeres Hotel haben wir noch nie erlebt. Vom Nachbarszimmer (was unglücklicherweise ein Familyraum war), hat man jedes Wort verstanden. Der Türöffner zu unserem Zimmer war kaputt, konnte aber mit einem Vorhängeschloss abgeschlossen werden. Alles in Allem also eher schäbig, wobei man bei dem Preis ja aber auch nicht allzu viel erwarten darf. Die Lage ist dafür ziemlich gut. In Fussdistanz liegen Schiffanleger, Khaosan Road, Restaurants und direkt vor der Tür ist ein vormittags lebendiger Lebensmittelmarkt. Auch der Flughafenzug fährt in der Nähe ab.

Excellent Find!
Shanti Lodge is an excellent little find: 15 minutes walk from Khao San Road if you're into backpacking action, loud bars, and overpriced merchandise; and closer to the river to grab a ferry and go practically anywhere, cheaply! Buses can be caught on the corner too, and Shanti Lodge offers free bicycles to those who dare. We weren't expecting much to be honest, and were happy with a clean room with comfortable bed, fan and AC. No place to sit but on the bed, the floor or the restaurant downstairs (which they're ok with). Two shared clean showers downstairs, as well as a very chilled restaurant with excellent free wifi! Wifi in the rooms too - bonus! Food in the restaurant is very tasty and at restaurant prices, costing about twice as much as the nearby street food (also very tasty... head down towards Thanon Samson, turn right at the corner, walk as far as the little bridge over the canal, and on the left hand side of the street before the bridge you'll find a vendor selling a packet of "fish-balls" for 20 baht - yum!). Opposite Shanti is the usual 7-11 and a number of "laundromats". Shanti Lodge staff are friendly, and always one manager on duty who speaks reasonable English.

Hôtel typique mais pas très confort
Guesthouse très verdoyante, on se sent chez l’habitant. Mais confort sommaire, literie assez dur, comme partout en Thaïlande, pas de ménage pendant une semaine.

Affordable prices and places
It is a family room but smaller than I expected. The bathroom is not blocked. The faucet is too high in the bathroom. The electricity is dark. It is not bad to stay about a day. It was good to leave my luggage.

Amazing place with amazing staff in an amazing location. This is the place you should stay while in Bangkok. Try the penthouse, it's an unique experience worth trying.

かわいいゲストハウス！
とてもかわいいゲストハウスでした！見た目で一目惚れしたらぜひ！！テンション上がりますよー。とてもキレイですし。ただ場所が、BTSやMRTに乗る際はちょっと不便です。私は夜はだいたいタクシーで戻ってました。あとは隣に泊まってる人次第かなと、床が軋みやすく、音もすごく聞こえるので耳栓はもっていって良かったなと思いました。ですが、ゲストハウスで飼っている黒猫2匹が朝と夜必ずあいさつしにきてくれました。とっても幸せな時間でした。コンビニが目の前にあるのも便利でした！また行きたいなぁ。

생각없이 3박을 한번에 결제 했어요. 방에 침대 하나 있고요 방음 안되고 너무 더러워요 킼ㅋ 귀신 나올거 같은 방^^; 방 청소를 안해줘서 2일 자고 난 다음날 청소 부탁했더니 , 원래 3일에 한번씩 청소한다며 정색하더라구요. 진짜 너무 드러웠는데 첫날부터.. 방은 2층에 있고 화장실, 샤워실은 1층에 있어요 특히 저녁부터 샤워실이 모기밭이예요. 진짜 씻는둥 마는둥 모기 잡으면서 울뻔 했어요. 절대 가시면 안됩니다 3일 한번에 결제한 제가 멍청이였어요 3일 동안 다른 투숙객 2팀 봤나? 하루 이상 묵는 팀 없었어요 한국분들이라도 이글 보고 안가시기를
