Having finished my tour around Thailand, and staying in various places including the Lebua State Tower, I can honestly say Dewan is the best accommodation in Bangkok/Thailand. The location is central to everything with great local food places, minutes away from the bars of Khaosan Road, and easy commutes to beautiful cultural sightseeing destinations. The staff are all incredible, with special shouts to Yo and Sea, and the rooftop pool is an exceptional touch for the room costs. Thank you everyone for an amazing stay!

Great place in a fun location - cold pool though!

We stayed here for three nights in late December and one night in late January. Both stays were great. Big rooms and a rooftop pool with a nice place to watch the sunset! The staff is so nice and friendly - we have a toddler and they called him by name all the time! My only complaint is that the pool was way too cold to swim!

The room was spacious and staff did an excellent job of keeping it clean. Front desk staff were super friendly. The area was great, easy walk to the Royal Palace, Golden Mount and the river to take the ferry. Lots of shops around; a vibrant area yet there was no street noise impacting a good sleep.

The Dewan Bangkok is a unique boutique hotel with charming touches and wonderful staff. The staff anticipate your needs without being intrusive. We felt safe and well taken care of. Here, you are a short ride away from major sites, close to many restaurants (including a couple of excellent vegan restaurants) and one can enjoy Khaosan Road without being in the midst of the cacophny.

Great location

Great hotel in a fantastic location. Was able to talk to Grand Palace (about 25mins) and lots of food options close by. My room was at the front of the hotel so along the Main Street plus being so close to Khao San road meant it was noise but nothing some ear plugs don’t solve. Lovely roof top area and pool. Massage place down stairs amazing and lovely friendly staff.

The Dewan was overbooked so we were moved to their sister hotel Nouvo city supposedly to an upgraded room . The room was clean but very dated and the layout of the rooms meant lots of noise from adjoining rooms . The staff were professional but not overly friendly and at checkout insisted I pay for a cold water for 30b on my card. The area itself is a good one with plenty of food and drinking options . I won’t be returning to these hotels .

It’s a good option if you want to be in the middle of it all in Old Town, don’t want to pay too much and don’t mind that it’s a bit run down. I found the room to be grubby and the bed rock hard. Wouldn’t want to spend more than a night or two here but it is convenient. Also there is a pool on the roof. We didn’t try it but I’m sure it’s a plus for lots of people as Bangkok is HOT.

Paid for a large room (32 sq mtr) given a small room (22 sq mtr) then repeatedly lied to by Front desk staff who told me it was large (except the lovley cleaner who said of course my room is small) The room size became irrelevant after the dishonesty of desk staff. Spoiled the otherwise good experience
