"We only stayed at Canalta for one night , but it was well worth it. We were greeted by the loveliest staff at check in, very smooth. The hotel has great amenities, the pool and the cafe are open very late with food options and cocktails so you can spend your evening at the hotel not needing to step out. They also have lots of games to grab and enjoy with the family in their foyer/dining area. They offer banff transit passes which was very convenient since the hotel is about 15-20 minutes...

"We stayed in the suite with two separate bedroom areas and a kitchen in between. It's older property and long overdue for renovation which doesn't bother me but might bother some. There are no blackout curtains and the curtains barely covered the window so it's very bright in the morning. The staff tried to be helpful but when my neighbors were repeatedly noisy starting at 10:45 p.m. it took a lot of prompting for the front desk to ask them to be quiet. For three nights in a row."

"Towels were not provided, which made it impossible to shower during my stay. A 4pm check-in is also not reasonable given the cost structure. This is not a nightly rate—you are effectively paying hourly. I checked in at 4pm as required and left at 5am, resulting in a 13-hour stay that did not reflect the price paid. In my view, the latest check-in should be 2pm, and basic amenities such as towels should be provided as a standard requirement anywhere in the world."

"The property is very dated. No air conditioning.....room was 79 deg. at night. Also, window coverings were very dated. Plumbing also very old."

"Rudament and gaslighting is the key of the staff, I came to have a nice vacation not someone to treat his guests like trash. Liars, they don't clean your room, don't change your towels only if you bag them, and then there is no one there and you need a towel they send you to get one, just to blame you for going on your own. Do yourself a favor skip this place at all cost. P.s. breakfast was awful."

"decent room. shower was really the only lacking item in the room we booked. shower head wasnt very good and was leaking. squeaky doors as well. paper thin walls so you could hear everyone walking by or opening/closing their doors. staff was helpful and friendly."
