"Avoid at all cost! This should already been removed from the website. It has turn into a bird nest. It has speakers board casting bird call 24 hours a day. We arrived late at night heard the noise though it was from the mountain behind the hotel but no, it was from the speaker cross our room! Could sleep all night!!!!"

"The hotel was clean and comfortable. There was a small breakfast included which consisted of toast, egg, fruit and coffee / hot chocolate. The hotel is in the country so there isn’t much around. It is next to the river and close to the dam. There were a few restaurants a short drive away. "

"La località è molto bella, così come la lunga spiaggia privata. Il ristorante è discreto e il personale gentile. Grandi e pulite le camere, ma... Mancano i piccoli particolari che un occidentale (e clienti che ho visto lo erano tutti) si aspetterebbe: una luce per leggere a letto, comodini, cose così... Comunque si sta bene, nella gran tranquillità."

"I really loved my stay at Khaosok River Home Resort. It's isolated, surrounded by mountains and a river, the little homes are cut and the open dining room is perfect!"

"Overall an excellent stay with great helpful staff, great food, and an amazing view! Navigating the incline to the pool is worth it after a long day, but might be challenging for some folk. A little ways away from the main strip with all the bars and easy access to the park, but absolutely worth it for the peace and quiet."

"Considering you’re out in the jungle basically, the rooms are very well maintained and also air conditioned. The staff is very eager to assist and always on hand. Be prepared to arrive with cash because it seems like the credit card reader is not always available and that can be an issue. This is also a remote property so bear in mind you will only have limited access to all amenities during daylight hours. But the staff is lovely and will bend over backwards to help you in any way they can, just have your expectations in line with the location. That being said there is transport available to all the local attractions, and it’s a truly lovely and one of a kind experience that I am sure you will cherish, as I did :)"
"Fantastic experience. Beautiful location. Staff were so friendly and attentive. Food was delicious, we had the full board (drinks extra) and it was great to try some traditional Thai dishes that we might not normally order. Our boys spent all day in the lake and I loved being able to relax in a hammock watching them. Highly recommend as worth paying the money for a fantastic experience."

"A genuinely beautiful hotel surrounded by dramatic mountains and lush greenery - so stunning that I’ll be returning next year! I genuinely want this hotel to succeed, so I’m sharing some constructive feedback that I hope management will address as the hotel matures.
The biggest areas for improvement are room cleaning/maintenance, service and the restaurant. Room cleaning was surprisingly disappointing, and despite being a new hotel, my room already had several scuffs, chips and scratches which is a huge shame as these are beautiful rooms and what guests see most. Staff were kind, caring and well-intentioned, but there often seemed to be more staff than guests, but still confusion in the service at times.
The restaurant prices felt a bit high for the quality, and the mandatory 10% service charge is naughty when guests have no realistic alternative options and have already paid to be there. Service could also be much more polished (even just assigning one member of staff to always serve that table would cut down much of the staff confusion). Separate drink/food/desert menu too.
Would love to see a poolside drinks/food service, a small gym, a better snack selection, laundry notifications when items are ready, clearer airport transfer information and WhatsApp communication with reception.
Overall, a fantastic hotel with enormous potential and I really enjoyed my stay. With a few operational improvements, it could easily become one of the standout places to stay in Khao Sok."
"When you visit Khao Sok or Cheow Lan Lake, the thing to do is stay in one of these raft houses. You’ll take a long tail boat from the dam area to the raft house, which depending on the time of year, you may get rained on. Praiwan Raft house is great because it’s a more authentic experience and is more tucked away in the park, right near where many of the wildlife tours are, so there are animals right next to you. Some people saw a male elephant from their raft house while we were there, and we saw a whole troop of langer monkeys. The staff at praiwan are great, and the accommodations are very clean. However, do note that this is a more rustic place, and there is no power in the individual rooms until evening, at which point there is a fan but no AC. Bathrooms are present in the rooms. My wife and I had a great experience there just hanging out and being in nature. You can swim in the lake or take one of their kayaks out. I would recommend booking directly through Praiwan (or expedia/booking) not one of the tour operators, as the tour programming is included in your hotel stay. We booked through Expedia and paid a lot less than if we booked through a tour operator and still got a guide nature walk, boat tours, etc just for being guests at the hotel. Definitely recommend this place"
