"Really peaceful place to stay, there was everything we needed in the cottage, i had to ring the host as tv wasnt working for us and the host arrived in about 10 mins to sort out. Weather wasnt the best when we where there, so it was nice and cosy staying in. I would recommend this cottage as we where very comfortable there "

"Minnies cottage is in the middle of very beautiful farmland, it's close to Killeavy Castle, walking distance to a nice little pub called Johnny Murphy's and a small grocery store. The hosts and the property is warm and inviting. There were 4 of us and there was lots of room, 3 couches. The owners take pride in their property, it's very well built, beautiful and clean. Highly recommend this property if you just want a couple of days in the country or are attending a wedding at the castle."

"We had a wedding in Newcastle and decided to stay in the Avoca that night. I rang in advance to see if we could perhaps get an early check in to suit the early wedding and this was accommodated no problem. The hotel itself lovely and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was beautiful also. If we’re back that way again we’ll definitely stay again."

"The history, cosy atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff; all combined to impress me from check-in to check-out. "Had an absolute fantastic stay at the Briers, Darren and his staff couldn't be more accommodating and helpful! The room was spotless, very comfortable, gorgeous views of the garden and surrounding landscape as well. Breakfast was delicious and very well laid out , with loads of choice ! Excellent all round, would have no hesitation in recommending the Briers as a place to stay! "
