"This was a perfect location to stay if you are doing a bioluminescence bay tour- walking distance! Condo had everything we needed and was perfect. Owner was highly responsive and even allowed for an easy early check in. The only complaint we had was the local neighborhood rooster who woke us up starting at 3:30AM. Other than that, perfect stay! "My fiance and I traveled with our 10 year old. Absolutely beautiful views and resort! Food options were slightly limited and very expensive on top of what you’re paying to stay. A free shuttle service to the airport or local places/activities would’ve been nice. We Uber’ed everyday to snorkel, zip line, etc. the magic show was a favorite and it’s free! The staff was so friendly and welcoming!"

"Perfect location. Room was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Staff were friendly. There was a bit of confusion when we arrived as you need to give them another cc on file to get a code for entry. It’s a guest house and not a hotel so there’s no staff onsite but the host was very responsive, helpful, and friendly. "

"I picked the Surfing Turtle based upon positive reviews but I definitely didn’t have a good experience. I guess someone has to draw the short straw. That was me - my room faced the very BUSY and LOUD road that was about 4 feet from the door. The loud music from nearby clubs went on late into the night. "Nice hotel but there was water damage in our room from the water going everywhere when people shower. Breakfast was simple, just cereal, waffle maker, and toast. They do supply bottled water, which we appreciated. Not insulated very well from noise. The frogs were very loud but I found it to be quite peaceful- my issue was the person staying below us out on the balcony all night talking loudly and smoking weed. "Solid place to stay in a primarily residential area still looking to recover. It's on the ocean with breaker waves pounding the seawall. No access to sand. There is some seating and a bar on the ocean but no bartender while we were there. Pool and courtyard area were nice and clean. Nearby Kiosk's, beaches, and rainforest were the big wins. No ventilation from the bathroom to the outside. Mold on the ceilings in the bathroom that continue to be an issue from other guests. If expectations...

"The power went out twice which made it hard to sleep because the place doesn’t have generators and the AC unit wasn’t working. There was a snake outside our room. The dogs barked too much. When we reached out to the host they didn’t have a solution to the problem. They didn’t provide flashlight or water. The water was running very low and many who stayed ended ip checking out. "
