"Hotel was lovely -parking was great-secure and simple to park ..executive lounge was disappointing-after breakfast only soda drinks until 530pm -we went out at 5pm so couldn’t take advantage of snacks/alchohol …felt very basic and not very comfy place to sit "

"Spotlessly clean, fabulous hosts and stocked with everything you could possibly need. Reading past reviews I was shocked at mentions of the floors being cold. It's an 18th century cellar for goodness sake!!! Stone floors are part of the charm. It is cosy and warm at this time of year (and I imagine lovely and cool in the summer).I would definitely stay again for its location, its cleanliness and its hosts. Can't fault it except for the mattress, which is a bit "argos" and could do with a good mattress topper to add comfort. But don't let that put you off. It's an experience that will certainly but a smile on your face. "

"Clean pleasant room that looked recently refurbished, with a kettle and microwave and a enough tea and coffee to survive a night and morning. A fridge and hairdryer was useful. Shower was good, stocked with shampoo and conditioner. Bathroom was clean. Otherwise it was basic but sufficient. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We had one set of neighbours who played very loud music all afternoon until late, but thankfully eventually stopped. At this (cold and wet) time of year the pub garden immediately outside the window did not result in any noise. "
