"Location"

"The check-in email got blocked as Spam and I emailed, texted and called the property several times seeking information. Nobody ever responded. We sat in our car in the sun in the parking lot for several hours waiting for check-in help. Finally figured it out by ourselves after finding the email in spam folder. The place sleeps 5, but the couch only seats 2 comfortably. They boast of cereal and stuff available. No, there isn’t. No smart TV, only basic cable which seemed to have OLD sitcoms or...

"My 20 year old son and I stayed for 3 nights in February 2026 and had a wonderful time. We arrived before 5 am (on a bank holiday, which we didn't know about since we don't celebrate 2/2 like that in the US) and the gentlemen at the front desk were so helpful. They stored our luggage since check was at 4 pm and then helped us locate a car park. Many were closed due to the holiday. (Note: We left our car at Grafton Car Park for 3 days and ended up paying a fortune! On the Expedia listing it says...

"Great staff, easy check in, breakfast is daily from 7:30 to 10:30. Highey recommend. Bus stops very close by for those who don't have a rental car. Bus 130 takes you straight into central Dublin! Perfect experience all around for Clontarf Castle and the staff"

"It's a beautiful hotel and the dinner we had at the restaurant was excellent. We were also very happy with the shuttle service to and from the airport. However, for the price we paid, I expected air conditioning in our room, or at least a circulating fan to use. The one window opened only a sliver and it got pretty stuffy in our room fairly quickly. That was during May; I can't imagine what it would be like during a summer heat wave."

"After arriving at the hotel we left right away to head out for dinner. After coming back to the room around 10:30 we noticed the TV would not turn on nor did any of our outlets work. We phoned the front desk and a worker came around 11pm. They could not get the outlets or tv to work either. At 12pm we finally had to move rooms (as we had to have working outlets to charge our phones.) However, the only room left was by the elevator. This room was not bad at all, very clean. "A nice hotel with clean rooms, easy check-in and check-out, with free parking for hotel guests in a car park connected to the hotel for easy access. The staff was friendly but did have a standoff-ish vibe that make it uncomfortable when I was asking for recommendations as they only seemed to have pushed their hotel's restaurant when asking for local pubs nearby. It took a while to obtain a cab, the hotel called for one but since there isn't a set front door location the driver wasn't able to...
