The rooms were old and tired, in need of renovation, however they were spotlessly clean. Our balcony overlooked the courtyard area tjough, and there were apartments directly facing us, which made it awkward to sit out if those opposite were in use. Staff on site were all extremely helpful and friendly. The pool and bar areas were well-maintained and clean.

Hotel staff are the gem here. All great and helpful. Pools are ice cold. Like proper ice cold. Lots of cigarette stubs around, rooms spacious and modern enough. But towel and bedding changes aren’t frequent enough. I upgraded to a sea view room which was brilliant.

Bit dated, but fair price

On arrival found reception staff welcoming. Rented a safe for €3 per night, as I had read on social media the hotel had had some break-ins recently. Room was large, beds were comfortable and the shower powerful. Furniture was dated, and the paintwork and bathroom grouting is damaged making the apartment look dirty, even though i think the cleaners service the room often and all the outside spaces were very well kept. Its a huge complex of apartments and focuses on families i think. We saw kid's clubs and playgrounds. Although it was out of season, so not many children actually there. Its in a good location on the seafront and close to town for bars and restaurants. We were self catering and found everything we needed to make basic meals in the room. Can't comment on the food as we didn't try any. It says on some sites it has a heated pool. It definitely isnt! We would probably stay again as it was reasonably priced. But as there wasn't any aircon, wouldn't stay during the warmer months.

Back to our happy place!

Another great holiday at The Elba San jorge & Antigua hotel. Had the perfect suite over looking the sea. Beautiful view of the promenade. Reception staff so helpful & friendly. Check in was easy & given a voucher for a complimentary drink whilst waiting for our room. This hotel is in the perfect location for the beach & walking to local night life. But the hotel also has entertainment nightly if you prefer to stay at the hotel. The pool area was vast with lots of sunbeds, never a problem finding a sun bed any time of the day. Pool table, table tennis, small amusement arcade & daily afternoon activities around the pool arranged. Looking forward to booking again next year but definitely for longer than one week. So thankyou to everyone at this hotel for making our holiday so enjoyable. See you all again next year.

Hôtel vétuste, chambre pas très propre, carrelage au sol hébréché et grince la nuit. Le tuyau de douche fuit, et le lit n'est pas confortable. La réception est dans l'hôtel Antigua, mais aucune indication quand on rentre dans l'hôtel San Jorge. Petit déjeuner très bien.

We enjoyed a lovely holiday at Elba Castillo. The large Family room was perfect for our family of 5. Huge balcony overlooking the sea. Resultant and bar facilities were good, the staff very friendly, a special mention to Patricia at the evening bar, who was always friendly. Animation team were great and kept both the kids & adults entertained- big shout out to Roberto & Giorgio.

A Bed Bug Haven. I went to the property with my family. I was given a room which had pubic and head hair left of the previous guest in the bath tub.The microwave was smelling and had cups of tea left from previous guests. I complained to the Reception around 9 pm but received no response, Then I went to the reception and showed the pictures of the dirty apartment only to be told that I will not be able to move to a new room because other rooms are also unclean and also my room cannot be cleaned until the next day. We had the most tortutous night with a 3 year and 9 yera old child. In the morning, I was told that I cannot change my room and the room will be cleaned. I then sent an email to the Hotels Supremo whose name is Sergio Sampedro. I was finally given anothe room which again had ants in the kitchen area. I asked to meet the Supremo Sergio who maid me wait 30 minutes. I finally saw him and asked him to talk to me. He refused to acknowledge what I had to say and said that nothing will be done and refused to even look at the pictures or send someone to the room. They even refused to refund my money. I was forced to go back and clean the new room on my own. At night whilst sleeping,my children and I got up with red marks. there were bed bugs and yes actual visible bed bugs. With a 3 year old child, I called the reception only for no one to pick. We then slept on the floor. Please avoid this hotel
