"One bar closed early so we were told we could go in the residence bar for a drink. We wanted a cocktail each but were told they couldn’t make them for us and not much choice of other drinks so we ended up in the car across the Road for our cocktail."

The Mill Hotel & Spa

"Our room was on 4th floor. Two single beds in room. Thankful there was a desk fan in situ as was so very hot during our stay. Room was small but adequate for our needs and as it was only for one night it didn’t feel like we had no space. The bathroom, although quite dated, was very clean and tidy. The shower was set via the taps which did get bit tricky. Was just at temp I liked then as I was washing my hair, it went quite cold, which under the circumstances and how hot it was, it was quite refreshing, but had the outside been a cooler season it wouldn’t have been taken quite so kindly. The shower head was only small but pressure was very good. The shower was over bathtub & Shower curtains are something I thought had gone well out of date but they were lovely white clean new looking so no big issue. We didn’t eat In Hotel but went to a Chinese all you can eat just a short walk away ( Slowboat) where everything is cooked to order and was absolutely gorgeous food, so pleased we went there. The breakfast within the Mill Hotel was adequate. The situation of the Hotel is great for walking into the centre, along the canal. The only downside for us was that there was no fridge in room, which would have been very welcome considering the weather, as we couldn’t keep any drinks cold in room, but despite this we would definitely not hesitate to stay at The Mill again."

"Book this for my parents and they loved it. Comfy beds and pretty good views from riverside. I also appreciate the eco friendly bathroom items (cotton buds, nail file, cotton round and shower cap all in paper wrapping)"

"Staff very friendly and helpful, in the current heatwave the air conditioning was amazing. Loved the kitchenette. Bearing in mind we were in the middle of the nightlife area the rooms were very quiet. Thank you very much"

"The staff are just lovely. Really friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel itself is modern and clean. Having to scan you card to enter and use the lift made it feel secure. It was quiet within the hotel, obviously it's in a busy location, but that wasn't too bad either - glass panels to slide shut infront of the double glazing. Shower pressure was a bit meh, bit that's being picky and the rest more than made up for it. Location wise it's perfect. 6 minutes from everywhere we needed. Right in the centre, a few minutes stroll from Liverpool Central station."
