Friendly helpful staff. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Spacious room, but some areas looking tired (kitchen tap and loo seat both wobbly, door runner loose, fascia missing from fridge). Great location for accessing the old town, very quiet and felt safe as a solo traveller.

Comfortable stay

The hotel room was clean and had very comfortable beds. There was a bit of confusion with the check in, as a new staff member gave us a room that hadn’t been cleaned. This was quickly resolved and we were given a bigger room. Points which could be addressed, make sure towels, etc for a third guest are provided and supply tea towels and washing liquid for cleaning dishes in the kitchenette.

Once we found it it was great

The hotel is covered in scaffolding (Jan 25) so hard to see and parking nearby was impossible until we found Carnot public parking. This gives a free stay period and from there you can find the hotel on foot, sort out hotel parking and move the car to it.

Very conveniently located; close to the city centre (rue d'Italie connects it to cours Mirabeau) and Aix-Marseille university. The rooms are studios proper (which I had not expected/noticed upon booking), including a separate kitchen, and very spacious. The room was very quiet, as well.
