"Impressive in arrival this countryside hotel and conference centre at first glance appeals. There is also ample parking. Many hotels allow early check in if one arrives ahead of check in time. Moat House staff were less accommodating and seemed to have a hard and fast rule. However, when we sat in the lobby with our suitcases and backpacks half an hour ahead of check in time, they quickly and pleasantly attended to us. The rooms are attractive but for cobwebs on the ceiling in both bedroom...

"Cosy, comfortable, friendly hotel. Staff were lovely . Bed really comfortable. Food delicious . Lovely bar, restaurant and garden. We had a great stay, would recommend this hotel."

"Some fittings / furnishings need fixing. Very creaky flooring throughout. The only ‘blight’ of the otherwise excellent breakfast was the salty ‘processed bread’ - ‘brown’ isn’t the same as ‘granary’, ‘whole meal’ or ‘sourdough’!"

"The room was clean but the bed was hard and you needed binoculars to see the TV. We stayed in Kent hall and it seemed like an old office block that has been turned into bedrooms. Breakfast wasn't that great sausages and bacon were overcooked and dry. The parking was not that great either."

"Good location in quiet residential area. Nice modern, clean room. Great pub/restaurant with good food & atmosphere. Breakfast was cooked to order, with self service station for cereal, ou dog was made very welcome toohiyceetc juicecerals"
