"The town was quaint. The hotel was clean and mostly updated. The Geothermal pool was my favorite part. The stay at this hotel could’ve been better if the beds were comfortable. The mattresses were hard and similar to military dorm beds. I’m hoping with the new reservations that was happening while I was there that would be one of the things this hotel would update. The front desk staff was personable and full of knowledge as far as where to explore in the area. "

The sauna and tub were spectacular, got some amazing aurora views while relaxing in both. The neighborhood was great, with multiple stores like Bónus just a few minutes away. "Enjoyed my stay here. The hosts are very welcoming & helpful. Checkin is clear and also has Igdlo sign on building for easy find. Location is close to basically everything, and Bus 55, which saves over $25 round trip to KEF airport. The room and shared bathroom were always clean also. The rooms are small and the lighting not so bright, but overall it was fine, and a very good value for an expensive place like Iceland."

"The location is unbeatable—situated on a quiet street just a short walk from Hallgrímskirkja and Rainbow Street, with a grocery store only five minutes away. While the property feels quite dated, the rooms are comfortable. My only mild annoyance was the traditional key system; the hotel requires you to leave your key at the front desk whenever you go out. It’s a bit of a hassle to wait in line just to get into your room at the end of the day, while the staff attended to other guests. If Hotel...
