"We were greeted by the owner…she very graciously showed us around the hotel and gave us a room with a view of the New River. She was very welcoming. The 1902 building has been beautifully restored. The room was great…as a side note, she told us that they would be opening a steakhouse in town in a couple of weeks. The space worked very well for us as a couple. Note that they have rooms and dining options available for scheduling an event for friends and family."

"My stays are usually just fine,no real complaints. However after several stays I have noticed a few things which need addressing. Namely, the interior room lighting is so poor. People actually need to see what they are doing. One light in the entire room is not enough. the one additional lamp actually needs a light bulb in it so it works! Speaking of lighting, the exterior lights are too bright and the curtains do not close enough to keep it out when you want to sleep. Lastly, single women...

"Just a wonderful experience. Clean and tidy. The hot water was hot, the room heat was awesome, the parking was ample and I liked the cozy and warm decor.
