"Great location and great view from the upper porch. If you’re taking the ferry to Cumberland Island, you’ll be right across the street. There is no dedicated parking. They offer a free breakfast but it wasn’t set up one of our two mornings, no one was at the desk to get ice, there was not even a way to get coffee. There were 4 of us- 3 adults and a child. We chose a room with 2 beds- they were full size and the room was very small. We own an old house so we understand the challenges but this...

"Great hotel with authentic character and charm. This is a historical property so don't expect the latest amenities, but the staff were very friendly and served a great breakfast. I look forward to staying at the Spencer House again."

"The property was clean, but a bit worn. No cups (plastic or paper) were available. The bed was really high and difficult to get into -- very odd. I thought the hot water was broken at first because it took so long to show up. Once it finally arrived it was good. Bar soap and little packets of shampoo, not like most places these days. I felt the room was bit overpriced. Acceptable for a night if better choice unavailable. I have been traveling a bit of late, so I had experience with which to...

"Stay was great!!!"

"Propre et confortable"

"Great location. Charming and very clean and comfortable."

"Staff were very nice and areas round the hotel were kept well maintained and neat. Our room was very clean and spacious, however, the bed was not comfortable. Another disappointment was the age of the universal equipment in the gym. Other than those two items the stay was pleasant and would still consider staying our next visit to Kings Bay."

"I liked"

"I never write reviews, but I have to say the staff at Surf and Sand were incredible. I have a broken ankle and they were so helpful getting me to my room... and letting me know if I needed any additional help, they were there for me. They (I think her name was Julia) even helped my friend find her keys. Excellent guest relations!"

"Convenient for our stop over to Orlando to cruise. Easy to find, delicious breakfast, and very friendly staff."

"Very convenient to I-95. Very good breakfast buffet."

"We enjoyed the location... The breakfast was okay... The property was maintained very nicely.... The only drawback we had was we picked this place because it said it was pet friendly, but upon calling, we found we couldn't take our cat..... And there was a dog down the hallway from us barking endlessly... I guess I don't understand the difference there. I was even willing to pay an extra deposit to not have to leave our family member at home, Otherwise, we had a very good experience there."
