"Our stay was an absolute delight. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were spic and span and the breakfast was one of the best we ever had. The pool was almost 50m, which was great to do some lengths. The gym only had a few machines, so the pool was a good alternative. (don't forget a bathing cap or you will have to buy one) Nice to see refillable shower products instead of disposable ones. Only negative point would be that there was a miscommunication about the hotel shuttle...

"We were in this hotel when the big earthquake hit (epicenter about 10 miles south) and it was very scary. The hotel staff were so nice and calming and reassuring. they got right to work cleaning up all the broken stuff and checking all rooms and reassuring people. Then when it was discovered there was damage to the water tank and there would be no water in the guestrooms they found us another place to stay so we were perfectly comfortable and cared for. "Wow!!! What a find. The owner, his wife and staff were so welcoming and made our trip so enjoyable. The grounds were calming, and the rooms big bright and comfy. The location is so close to Taroko National Park we were able to enjoy their fantastic breakfast, beat the crowds, get a full day of hiking and exploring the breathtaking park, and get back to the best shower I’ve ever had before heading to the Dongdamen night market. Best two nights of our entire 10 days on the island."

"We had an amazing relaxing, calming stay at Sophia’s property. It was sparkling clean, well thought out and Sophia drove us to her favourite restaurants for lunch and dinner and picked us up and dropped us off at the train station. Couldn’t ask for better service! Plus breakfast was delicious, highly recommend staying with Sophia. We stayed a couple weeks after the earthquake and the property is very safe and has no damage."

"The location is not far from the train station so that was great. The hotel itself is ok. I’ve noticed most hotels in Taiwan never seem to clean the windows so it looks dirty. "Air-conditioning was not able to heat up the room. Combination of low temperature outside and strong wind resulted in quite horrible stay in cold (13C in the room!!). The expected seaview was actually blocked by newly-build terrace of neighbouring building. Well not-recommended!"

"Overall this is a great place to stay if you are looking to spend a lot of time at Taroko Gorge. However, that also means the area around is pretty remote and transportation is limited. It is a good budget hostel to stay at if you are staying for a few days. "

"Very helpful hosts. Unusual tent like cabins with Japanese style mattress on floor. Nice breakfast, we borrowed cycles from the owners and went up the Taroko Gorge for which it is ideally situated. Not many evening food options"

"住宿點外面車位被停滿，服務人員沒有清楚指示哪裡可以停車，最後停車點雖在住宿點對面，但路上車速很快，過馬路有點危險。 飲水機故障，僅冷水可用，但標示不清處。 不提供早餐，盥洗用具，車流聲超大，冷氣有點吵，隔音不佳，隔壁聊天聲音都聽得到，天花板掉漆，提供安博盒子，但沒有第四台，這樣的住宿品質卻要五千多塊，加上價錢因素，這樣的住宿體驗非常差。 最後，民宿證照僅標示核可3間，令人疑惑。"
