"My room has no lake view and face the street, lot of noise from bar nearby all night long, request room with lake view to avoid the problem. Walking distance to the west lake, 10 mins walk to shops and restaurants, breakfast is ok (you can order from menu for free), only there for a night so no comment on gym & pool, bed is superb, pillows are soft, AC work well, shower is good although if you use shower in tub be caution that floor will be wet and slippery. "

"Right in the heart of Hanoi. Hustle Bustle. Like any warm country, windows may be thin so can hear rooster crowing early in am. Was charming. Earplugs solved that problem. Cafe below met all our needs. Try the egg coffee there. You are close to market vendors to get breakfast, fruit etc. enjoyable stay!!"

"I highly recommend this accommodation. If you are someone who wants to experience local culture most authentically, this is a good choice. "Central location close to Lotte Mall, old town, US embassy. The staff are very friendly, super efficient, and very helpful. Very safe for solo travellers. "The reception was acceptable. The front desk personnel were friendly. The hot water took a while to flow; the knobs were not label, therefore, it was difficult to adjust the water temperature. The breakfast was quite unacceptable. The vendor that catered to the hotel was unfriendly and the menu was very limited as well. The check out time was 12:00 noon; however, the housekeeping staff sort of pushed and rushed the tenants out of the room. This is why the rating for this location earned only 4...

"The owner who visited from Feb. 29 to Mar. 3 was very kind. The owner waited for me until late. And the cleaner cleaned every day. And he replaced the clean towel. Ho Chi Minh always paid, but there was no such thing. Thanks to the very kind owner, I could travel more easily and enjoy my trip. He also checked my stuff again. "The location is perfect -in the heart of old town. The hotel was very clean and the staff is the best in Vietnam. All of them. Most of our contact was with Max who would stop at nothing to help us and always with a smile. He took such good care of us, he had a driver meet us at the airport with a private car to take us to the hotel, he also booked us tours to Ha Long bay & Sapa that were fantastic..! The daily breakfast included daily was very delicious too.... I truly believe that the Royal Palace Hotel and their amazing staff helped to make our trip the best! I wish I could take the staff of the Royal Palace home with me and employ them all!! Thank you! "
