Surprise with the facility provided such as high speed wifi and free of charge mineral water. Thai restaurants, money changer, massage centre, mini mart and local food product shop within 2 minutes walking distance from this hotel. Excellent !!!
This hotel is not a hotel. It is a business building with some apartments for short and long term stayers. They have allocated some rooms for 'hotel' stays but there are too many issues to make it pleasant. Firstly, the price, double what it should be. The room itself is clean and comfortable. TV and bathroom good. No security box. To get to the room you need to be buzzed in to the building, which is separate from where the office is (it isn't a reception), you then walk down dingy, dark hallways to your room. Security and privacy is a concern. So many people around, not necessarily guests or staff of the accomodation. You pay for the pool and you need to go to another building, the pool itself is great but accessed by anybody, locals etc. The changerooms are broken and in very poor repair. Then there is the free wifi. worked for 5 minute periods at best. Had a 3 hour issue with the manager over the phone to fix it and he never did, worse, he promised to call me back each time and never did, at 12 midnight he refused to take my calls, surprise surprise.
I was looking for a reasonable priced accommodation. I find this place satisfying as I don't really need a fancy hotel considering I spent most of my time shopping. The stay was a pleasant one. The staffs are friendly. I think it might've been run by a whole family. They were also helpful in providing information about estimated cab fares and where to eat.
The only thing that could've been improved is the bed. After a long day being out and about, I was looking forward to having a good rest but the bed was bumpy and you can literally feel the bedsprings.
When I arrived they allowed me to check in early. However, the room wasn't cleaned yet. I assumed they must've forgotten about it and gave me the wrong room. Which was understandable really as they only have one staff for housekeeping.
Hotel was convenient for me as it is situated right at the Pratunam Market. It was a little difficult to find it. If my boyfriend hadn't taken a closer look, we probably would have missed the hotel. It's situated right between Indra mall and Pratunam market at a little corner near 7-11.
Shopping wise, I'd recommend you to either shop in the malls of pratunam or at the back alley of the pratunam market. The shops at the roadside was rather expensive and u could get much cheaper at the places I mentioned. Chatuchak market is much much cheaper.
All in all, I'd go back to the hotel if I were to stay there for a short period but I wouldn't recommend it for longer stays.
I wanted a budget accommodation with a bit of privacy in a modern spot. I was lucky to have a pad with a window which made all the difference. The room itself also had windows, something to request if you get depressed otherwise. The boxes are as illustrated and arriving is pretty painless. They will ask for a $500 B deposit for the key that opens multiple electronic doorways, there is a skinny lift for luggage but mine didn't fit, so it was 3 flights up stairs. When breakfast is included there is a choice of 4 dishes plus a buffet of white toast, juice, tea and coffee. The installations are pretty modern and inviting, though they won't turn the AC till 6pm and some of the common areas will be hot as hell! Overall a good and comfy experience in the Siam Square area, the sky train is only a short walk from the location which is a blessing. Avoiding the hardcore Bangkok traffic is a must, specially any route near the railway crossing. DO NOT take the bus or a taxi to the Airport or Train station, you must likely won't make it!
