Have an unforgettable and inexpensive holiday in Enontekiö and enjoy the remote environment of Lapland. You will find a wealth of real wilderness areas, especially in Malla Strict Nature Reserve. This wonderful reserve begins from Lake Kilpisjärvi and has an environment so delicate that movement is restricted. However, a marked path leads to the Three-Country Cairn where Sweden, Norway and Finland meet. The climb up Saana Fell is eased by steps on the steepest sections.
There are seasonal domestic flights to Enontekiö Airport, and you can also reach Heta by taxi from Kittilä Airport. Enontekiö has bus connections to Rovaniemi and Kolari, but the long distances make travel by car more attractive. Be careful when driving in wilderness areas, since the roads are sometimes tricky. Nonetheless, Enontekiö will reward any open-minded traveller with beautiful scenery and perfect natural peace.
