"Maria Cristina is undoubtedly a beautiful, characterful hotel. The Basque welcome from reception was really appreciated. We received a lovely glass of the local wine and the person who checked us in was so pleasant and helpful and that theme continued throughout. The reception and door staff couldn’t do enough. We had room 301. An upgrade from the garden view we had booked. A spacious room, very comfortable bed, Byredo products. On the downside there weren’t any tea / coffee making facilities!...

"I am a Marriott Lifetime Platinum and I did my due diligence before selecting a location in such a wonderful place of Donostia San Sebastián. The location is perfection! The classic elegance of this property made me feel amazing throughout our stay! The staff are wonderful and so helpful! We made new friends and can’t wait for a future stay! "Weekend visit to San Sebastián. Hotel Abba was in a great location. 5 minute walk from the bus station (useful if travelling to/from Bilbao), Also 5 minutes from Gros & the Old Town. Our room was lovely, modern & clean with a great roof top bar before heading out.. one negative, when the rooftop bar was open, the hotel bar was closed, understood this was to manage staffing levels but would be good to have the choice. Would certainly go again, good hotel, great location!"
