"Room is clean but dated. We stayed in a larger room with mini kitchen. Staff were all friendly. Location is perfect. Quite a few restaurants to choose from. Close to the beach. There’s a bus close to the hotel that runs every 15 minutes. Lots of monkeys early in the morning. Lots of stairs which all reviews state. "

"The resort is paradise. We stayed in the Vista Suite overlooking the ocean. We saw many animals from our private terrace including daily morning sightings of the Capuchin monkeys frolicking by the swimming pool. On the grounds of the resort we saw macaws, variety of other parrots, sloths, and iguanas. The staff was incredible, very friendly and professional. The food in the restaurants was exceptional as was the service. Highly recommend this resort."

"View was amazing! Sunset from restaurant and sunrise from lying in bed! Staff was even more exceptional- treated us like family, especially Enzo. WiFi was not good in the room, but AC was strong. The nature tour was a treat, we saw monkeys up close and also sloths, birds and iguana. A tucán was right next to us at breakfast! No pool- it's more of a place to use as homebase when doing other things, not to stay all day. But such a beautiful place to start and end the day!"

"Tropical Paradise at Ecotica Boutique Hotel If you are looking for an authentic and intimate Costa Rican experience, Ecotica Boutique Hotel in Manuel Antonio is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, we felt less like "hotel guests" and more like welcomed friends in a private jungle sanctuary. The staff here truly understands the "Pura Vida" spirit. Every interaction was marked by genuine warmth and a "nothing is too much trouble" attitude. One of the most magical parts of staying at Ecotica is that you don't even have to leave the property to see Costa Rica’s famous residents. The hotel is beautifully integrated into the rainforest, and we were treated to daily visits from: • Monkeys: Playful capuchin and squirrel monkeys • Birds: Stunning scarlet macaws and toucans adding vibrant splashes of color to the canopy.  The Highlight, Spa Services by Maria While the entire stay was fantastic, the absolute standout experience was the spa. Specifically, you must book a session with Maria. Her technique is incredible—easily one of the best massages I have ever had. Maria has a gift for finding every bit of tension and melting it away. Combined with the sounds of the jungle is absolutely incredible! Highly recommend Ecotica! "

"This property was clean,with good AC and amazing staff. The breakfast was okay but not outstanding. This hotel is situated in a great area with many options for restaurants and food within walking distance. It is also on the main bus route making it easy and affordable to explore! Thanks so much for the relaxing great days we had ."

"Dear Owner, I am writing to express my serious concern regarding the way the restaurant, bar, and kitchen operations were being handled during my visit. It was completely unacceptable to see that these areas appeared to be managed by essentially one person while more than 30 guests arrived for dinner service. An operation like that reflects a troubling lack of empathy, not only toward the customers, who are left waiting and underserved, but even more so toward the employees, who are clearly being overworked and unfairly burdened. Running service in this manner makes the establishment look cheap and abusive toward its labor force. That is especially disappointing because the place has the potential to be truly great. I want to be clear about one important point: every employee we encountered was unbelievably helpful, respectful, and highly professional. The problem was not the staff. The problem was that they were visibly overworked, unsupported, and placed in an unfair situation. I sincerely hope you take this observation seriously and review your staffing and operational practices. Your employees deserve better support, and your customers deserve a level of service consistent with the quality your hotel could offer. Respectfully a group of 10 people"
