"Overall it was a good stay! They should have more directions to get to the hotel, and posted on the app that there is no staff at the hotel. The room was nice for the price and close to the Night Market! Getting to the room at first was a bit hard, even locals around did not know how to get there. Located in the busy district of Ximen, the hotel is beautifully decorated with plenty of vintage old school charm, there's free snacks and ramen in the lounge and the staff are super helpful with tips and recommendations. The rooms are not particularly big but that's to be expected in a hotel in the middle of the Taipei. Nevertheless, they were modern, clean, and the bathroom/shower was easily as big as the rest of the room! Really enjoyed our stay here, convenient to food options, attractions and public transportation. Lovely stay."
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Westgate Hotel in Ximending, Taipei. The location is unbeatable—just steps from the MRT/subway station, surrounded by endless dining options, massage parlours, and within easy walking distance to everything in Ximending.
We booked the Executive Suite since we were traveling with four large suitcases, and the room was adequately spacious, clean, and comfortable. The standout, however, was the exceptional service—from the warm welcome at the front desk to the attentive staff in the restaurant, everyone was polite, friendly, and genuinely welcoming.
Our room included daily complimentary breakfast, offering a great selection of both Western and local dishes. The food was fresh, delicious, and well-presented—though it can get crowded at peak times.
