"A bit run down and since it was off season and mostly empty. At check the receptionist told me that breakfast was complimentary but when i went to the restaurant they said I would have to pay. So this kind of misrepresentation didn’t bode well with me."

"Great clean room and building with everything you need for a business hotel. Reasonable price with great breakfast ( free) Just little too far from Numata station. 20min walk on up hill ! Not so much of side walk to walk safely, especially at night. You have to call for a cab ride after 5pm. Morning is from 7am. Not much choice for restaurants around . Other than that great stay !"

"The best thing about the hotel is the Onsen! The price was also reasonable. The hotel is a little on the worn side but still in good shape. It does have a shuttle to/from the echigo-yuzawa station but their hours are limited. The last pickup is 5:30pm if you miss that you will need to hire a taxi (expensive), take a bus (also limited hours) , take the local train to the iwapara station and then a 4 min walk to the hotel (the train is about 1 per hour) or you can walk to the hotel (about 45min)"

"A lovely Japanese style accomodation. Refreshing to see that shoes are off limits at the property and they provide good lockers for the shoes. Private baths and onsens are available for a soak after a day out to explore. Breakfast is good too though the timings of breakfast are a tad early but best way to start the day ! :)"

"Position is convenient for train and restaurants. Onsen area was fabulous alternating temperature between the 2 pools each day. All the personal care items you need. Microwave on each floor is handy. There was at least 1 english speaking staff on front counter at all times. Dinner a little expensive but food was nice."
