Fantastic stay at The Grand, York

A wonderful place to stay. Every member of staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms are very spacious and the hotel in general is open and spacious and very inviting and cosy. Superb location for the proximity to the train station and a very short walk to the shops, bars and restaurant's. The Roman Walls are just outside the hotel so very easy to be able to walk along the wall. Really looking forward to visitng again.

Great hotel, so close to the station. Realy lovely, friendly staff - nothiung seemed too much trouble The breakfast choice was one fo the best we have had in a hotel in a long time - fab to see things like bircher museli on te menu. The staff work incredibly hard, ansd it was much appreciated by us. Hope to return once your spa has been refurbished

I stayed here a long time ago when it was in soft-opening mode. I didn't know there were newer additions to the hotel, and I wish I'd known to book a room in main building with high ceiling.

The Grand York was fabulous. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The concierge service was exceptional, Nigel and Joseph were standouts. Our absolute favorite staff member was Rob, our waiter in the restaurant. He was helpful, friendly, fun, and just had an amazing presence and demeanor. You all need to hang onto him and Nigel. Can’t fault it

Couldn’t fault, other than the fact pool and spa were closed for renovation. They did communicate this ahead of the stay. Great location if arriving by train.
