A wonderful ryokan with a lovely staff, who also speak good English. We were courteously picked up from Yaizu station and then dropped off when we checked out as well. The room is very large, bed comfortable, and filled with modern amenities. Even the temperature of our private onsen can be adjusted down to 39C (which I preferred). The meals were elaborate and delicious, served in a very tranquil and comfortable setting. I would definitely return in the future. I especially recommend this hotel to solo travelers, as this one of the very few higher end, full service ryokans with a private onsen that accepts lone guests.
the hotel is quiet, clean with very nice Japanese style rooms. We loved the breakfast. Did not book our room with dinner but the hotel staff recommended and booked a wonderful local restaurant that was reasonably priced with a great local atmosphere. Loved the place and would definitely stay again.
Amazing private onsen. They did everything to make our stay as relaxing as possible. Worth the price and more. Wish we planned a longer stay at this onsen at the end of our 2 week trip to Japan. We would make another trip just to come here. Yaizu is a nice quiet area with some delicious fresh bonito which we were told theyâre known for.
Staying one night here was by far the highlight of our trip. We were making our way back to Tokyo from Nagoya and decided to stop here along the way. Itâs a quick 15 train ride from the bullet train, and the owner was nice enough to pick us up from the train station. We stayed in room type âAâ and it was perfect. There was a beautiful attention to detail in the design of the space, and they thought of everything you might need to have a comfortable stay. They also communicated with me completely in English which made for a smooth check in and check out process. They will even help you with dinner reservations. We canât say enough about the owner, he really went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay. Canât wait to come back next year!!
I cannot say enough good things about this inn. It was everything we imagined. There was a person waiting to greet us when we got there (which, honestly, we had never imagined). The meals -- we had a dinner and a breakfast -- were the best and also the fanciest we had while in Japan, full stop. We were completely floored at the care taken for every little detail during our stay. It feels nicely out-of-the-way once you get there, but it is not hard to get to at all. The staff offered to pick us up from the local train station on our way in, but we decided to walk. The walk is totally fine if you are used to walking and aren't hauling a 70-pound bag, which we were. We gratefully accepted the inn-keeper's offer of a ride back to the train station when we left. Seriously: the seventh-generation inn-keeper who owns the place drove us to the train station on the way out.
my stay here was amazing! the staff was very friendly and helpful. the room was so comfortable, spacious and beautiful. would definitely stay here again
Staff is super nice, they offered free pick up from Yaizu station to the hotel! There are treats and drinks provided at no extra costs.
Onsen are good!
The little cat in the hotel is a surprise bonus point for us!
