"Decor well maintained , food excellent ."

"Clean and tidy hotel. Location was perfect and price reasonable."

"This hotel was just mins walk away to the beach of Whitley Bay. It's an older hotel and a very good price. Nothing fancy but clean, quiet and plenty of shopping near by. Staff was very nice and friendly. It was just a 1 night stay to enjoy the relaxing sea rather than a busy city and long my journey up the coast line of England to Bamburgh Castle."

"Staff very helpful, gym was great and it was very clean"

"Easy to find and very convenient. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was made to order and very good. We liked that we could have dinner and a drink without driving anywhere."

"We needed parking but were unaware that unless specified parking is not included. This used to be included (free with room booking) This created a problem for us as we were going on holiday. Cost us an additional £114 to park the car on the airport The hotel were unable/willing to help claiming they had no spaces available. Yes I should have read the details but having used the Britannia before I was unaware of the changes in booking conditions. Would appreciate your feedback"

"The hotel was very convenient for the airport and the room nice and clean, but the decor felt tired and dated and the superfood salad in the restaurant was very bland and disappointing."

"Such a lovely overnight stay, we were in the area to attend an evening wedding reception. Very clean, great location & superb breakfast & Michael was so welcoming & helpful with the area & directions. Would recommend."
