The history of the property is alluring. The bed was so comfortable and inviting. There were so many things that we wanted to do that we could not in the time that we were there. We did have a slight issue with not being able to find an innkeeper when needed, but we never had any issues other than that. We would definitely return. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
A real gem for those wanting a private vintage experience in the West End. We enjoyed the ambiance of a small Inn with just 6-7 named rooms all with period decor and spacious upgraded bathrooms. Pool table, parlor, porches and beautiful grounds. A short, safe walk to some of the best local restaurants. A true find. Thank you
My main issue was that the materials indicated the fridge in the room would have 2 complimentary bottles of water. It did not and was dirty. When I checked out and asked for water, I was give. 1 bottle of warm water instead of 2 bottles of chilled water for 2 guests as promised. We cities during a heat wave so water was important to us. Otherwise, the room was charming but not that clean.
The property is absolutely lovely. Our room was excellent and well set out. I you want a relaxing stay the West End Room we highly recommend but honestly every thing at Summit Streets I
Great place to stay! Walking distance to three great restaurants. Great room with comfy bed and wonderful bath. Will definitely come back. Nice continental breakfast.
Solo traveler here! Very beautiful property! I love the vintage decor and it's walking distance to all the food spots in downtown! Highly recommend when you are travel and need a quick place for work to stay!
We reserved and paid for a queen size bed and received a full size bed. This was very uncomfortable for my husband. The bedside lamp did not work and the condition container in the shower was empty.
We loved our time at Summit Street Inns, especially the 4-7 pm happy hour! The flowers around the property were gorgeous and we walked to dinner nightly.
Beautiful and comfortable historic house! Enjoyed staying in the Reynolds Loft -- that soak in the claw-foot tub made my evening! Gorgeous landscaping and lots of places to just hang out and enjoy beautiful spring weather. Some of the area's best restaurants are just a block away. We were able to walk up Fourth Street toward Trade and window shop the Arts District. Great breweries a mile away (still walkable) and Tate's Cocktails is a great place for a drink and live jazz on Tuesdays. We love Winston-Salem, and now we have a favorite place to stay for a quick getaway.
Lovely B & B within easy walking distance of restaurants and conveniently located near downtown Winston Salem. The room (Ludlow Suite) is spacious and has a nice outside space. The Continental breakfast was disappointing but the full breakfast at another building was nice. Unfortunately you had to drive there. I think a little more effort at check-in to go over the house rules and available amenities would have been helpful.
Our second stay at this place. It was just as great as our first visit. Safe, clean and quiet. Easy to access and park. It’s beautiful architecture and in excellent condition.
