"This hotel, despite being in a historical building represents outstanding value for money. The rooms are generous size with high ceilings. The furniture is solid, despite showing its age. The bathrooms (I stayed at this hotel more than once) have been renovated and are up to standard in functionality and cleanliness, so is the bed linen. Rooms are restocked with bottled water daily, the buffet breakfast is like AUD$12 per day and represents outstanding value IMO. The hotel is literally across the road from exit 8 of People's Square, line 2, the very heart of Shanghai tourist district (Nanjing Rd) the line 2 connects directly to both airports Hongqiao and Pudong, so really it's hard to ask for more. Hilton it ain't but neither is the price charged. Would I stay there again? Most definitely (already have)."
