"Very disappointed"

"it was fine. nothing massively special but I didnt expect that either. The room was decent and had aircon. reception staff were kind. I dont like that I had to provide my driving licence on check-in. I don't usually at hotels but it was lucky I had it with me as I dont usually."

"Staff very helpful, friendly and approachable. Room was reasonably comfortable and tucked away in a quiet corner on the ground floor. Beds very clean and comfortable. Room was clean, roomy and stocked with tea and coffee. Bathroom was clean, spacy and had a small amount of shower gel, soap and 2 in 1 shampoo & conditioner. Bathroom required a touch of maintenance with the bathroom door scraping the floor on opening & closing it. Shower was reasonably powerful. A nice bar and lots of seating....

"The location was perfect for us as we were going to the theatre. (2 minute walk). Walking to town didn’t take much longer and we enjoyed looking around. The lady that checked us in was very friendly and offered advice about where to visit. It was nice to be greeted with a smile and the same for when we went down for breakfast. "Attractive old house close to seafront. I had to share a bathroom, but as the house wasn't full this didn't present a problem."

"A very quirky, interesting, historical Hotel a short stroll from all the amenities that Swanage have to offer. Friendly helpful staff from start to finish, all very knowledgeable regarding the history of the hotel. "Very nice, me and 3 friends came to stay and the beds were comfy and it was a really nice room, there isn’t a bathroom or shower in the room so keep that in mind but it does say that in description. And my only point was there was a smoky smell outside the room but the room smelt fine, so in case your sensitive to smoky smells. But the room was well ventilated and the fan was a nice touch. The owner was lovely super kind and helpful!"
