"Great hotel for a stay in Luxor. Easy access to the public ferry lets you stay in the quieter West Bank but still be minutes away from the temples on the East Bank. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Great location with an amazing view of the Nile from the breakfast balcony."

"Staff were great. The hotel is falling apart. Evidently two of the owners passed away and the place seems to be struggling. Some of the public areas in the hotel look to be junk storage. The bed was rock hard, like sleeping on cardboard. The place is situated in an unpleasant part of the West side. Breakfast was fine. I’m sorry I can’t offer a kinder review. I cannot recommend this hotel."

"My stay at the Nile Compound Hotel was amazing! The hotel is a garden oasis surrounded by the beautiful farmland of Luxor. I could not have picked a better place to stay. Mr Yousef and the rest of the staff were spectacular! Mr Yousef arranged my transportation to several sites and always made sure I was enjoying myself. I really appreciated that they would not allow us to tip because it made the experience feel more comfortable. Tipping culture in Egypt can be crazy. "A few weeks after booking, the hotel sent me a message that it would be closed for renovations during the time I had booked to stay. I had prepaid the money for my room, so I replied to ask for the money to be returned to me, but I never received a reply.
