"Friendly staff at check in. Big room, very clean and a very comfy bed. Great value for money "

"Arrived in the room and found the toilet had been bleached but the seat not washed. I am a little OCD to immediately went to local supermarket and purchased anti -bac and cloths, then cleaned the room surfaces to my standard. I have worked in the hotel industry and know that the cleaners only have a certain amount of time to clean in each room. But maybe they need a bit more time to do their job. Overall the hotel needs a bit of a refresh but we booked in the knowledge that it was a bit cheaper than others in the area, so we accepted the negatives. Staff were great which was the upside. I would stay again so don't be put off by my review folks, just making you aware."

"This was a last minute overnight stop. Bar meal was fine and breakfast was the usual buffet style which was regularly replenished. All staff were friendly and courteous. Plenty of parking. Finding the room and navigating around the old building can be a bit of maze. Room was, clean and well equipped with a refreshing shower in the morning."

"Room nice and clean but noise from the fan was irritating as you cannot switch it off - also last time we stayed we ordered the meal deal of evening meal and breakfast but deal not available this time and no cooked breakfast Mon - Thurs. So we ate elsewhere for breakfasts and our 2nd night evening meal"

"No heating. Room very cold. Reataurant only open for breakfast. Had to drive for dinner. Only saw 1 member of staff who was very helpful"

"Half the breakfast menu costs extra, the porridge was like tepid mortar, the continental had sliced white and brown bread only, no bread buns, room 207 was baking hot with no way to cool it, the old leaded windows are characterful but completely warped and can't be closed, half the payment terminals didn't work, and the staff were friendly but inefficient."

"Staff were friendly, room was good size for us and our two dogs, found the bed rather firm for us and was rather closer to the motorway than I realised you would have heard traffic all the time if the window was open but luckily there was a fan. The on site cafe was great. Pet friendly, lovely people and good food. Would stay there again for that reason. "
