"Room was incredible and hotel itself was very clean and friendly, pool is perfectly useable and just warm enough for a comfortable swim, location is also great. Our only issue with this hotel was the restaurants, prices were EXTREMELY high and portion sizes are laughable.. If you stay here I recommend using other restaurants nearby to make sure you are full without having to spend 200+ just to have a standard meal. Other than this it was a very pleasant stay."

"Out of all the other hotels in Luzern, this one is one of the best budget hotels you can choose from, which explains the name. Most hotels we’ve been to usually have coffee, hair dryer, iron in the room. You had to pay 3.50 CHF for a machine coffee. Put 20 CFH deposit down for a basic hair dryer…pay for luggage storage and early check-in. It was a lot of paying for little services hotels usually offer for the service you pay…we had to leave a day earlier and even tho we expected no money back, at least the front desk staff tried to help and we got the tax refund for that night which was nice least and was appreciated for their effort. I wouldn’t stay for too long at this hotel. "

"The room was very spacious and we were so delighted to have a sitting room as well, both with incredible views of the lake! Yes, we had to take the bus in to town, but it was so incredibly convenient and the hotel provided the pass, this was a positive and not a problem. I think we had the absolute best of both worlds of Lucerne at Seeburg! Highly recommend!"

"When I read previous reviews I thought they were referring to another hotel. I understand that Switzerland is very expensive and the location of the hotel is excellent. However, the hotel falls short. I was under the impression that climate control meant air-conditioning. I was wrong, the room was hot and there were no options to cool it but open a window to the loud street noise and traffic. The breakfast was disappointing. For two of the three days, there was no fruit, zero! Warm yoghurt, scrambled eggs like rubber, very limited options. Room cleaning was also not up to standard expected of a 4 star (mould in the shower). Staff were ok but no-one stood out. Its been a very long time since we stayed in a hotel without a fridge in the room. I could go on and on."
