The Castle of Brecon Hotel

"Beautiful hotel and very well decorated with great food. Only downside was the room wasn’t ready as stated and very expensive drinks."

Royal Hotel Ross On Wye by Greene King Inns

10/10 Excellent

"The staff"

The Kings Head Hotel

8/10 Good

"Nice, relaxing stay in the heart of Ross on Wye. Large room, on second floor accessed by an extremely steep winding staircase, which is what you’d expect in an old inn like this. Staff helpful and friendly. Food good and reasonably priced. Only drawbacks were the bathroom which with its sloping ceiling and steps was a bit hazardous and the carpark with its extremely narrow access that many cars would struggle to get in."

Green Dragon Hotel

8/10 Good

"We liked the old fashioned grandeur of the place although the halls and doors could probably do with a spruce up. The room was quite large, clean and comfortable with tea and biscuits. The restaurant and bar looked quite nice but we didn’t use them. We thought the breakfast was a bit expensive at almost £40 for two so got some half price locally. We also had to pay £10 for parking nearby. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful though. All in all we had a nice stay."

Best Western Pontypool Metro Hotel

8/10 Good

"Reception staff friendly and helpful Room was clean, however really hot during the Night so we had to keep window open. Little noise from outside. Drinks were expensive from bar but expected."

Porters Lodge

8/10 Good

"No directions as to where Abbott's Lodge was. No breakfast."

The Green Man

8/10 Good

"The staff were amazing! The dinner was absolutely fantastic! The rooms need an upgrade…carpet is way too old."
