Lovely hotel, staff were so friendly and polite. Our room was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. Food at the hotel both in the evening and breakfast was all freshly cooked to order with a great selection.
Beautiful view from our bedroom, but the decor of the room left a lot to be desired. The mattress was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever had the misfortune to try to sleep on and the pillows were not much better.
The hotel is well located for visiting the town.
Parking was easy, bar with large open fire was superb and welcoming. Food was excellent with a special mention to Carrol the lovely lady who looked after us for dinner and breakfast.
On arrival very professional check in staff and service was second to none really enjoyed our stay hopefully returning in October with a couple of family members can't wait we stayed in room 27 views right over the river
Great Location we had room 27 which was the top floor and a fabulous view of the river.
My husband had breakfast and recommended it highly , the quality of the food was excellent and the staff couldn’t do enough for you highly recommended and would stay there again ross and why and nearby towns are just very beautiful and interesting
The hotel is ideally situated for the Wye Valley with great views. We had a great room which had plenty of space including a sofa, clean, great facilities and well serviced.
The breakfast was really good with a great choice and the breakfast staff were really welcoming and friendly.
Also the hotel had good quality pub food at a reasonable cost.
We look forward to staying again.
Lovely old building with creaky floors and plenty of character. Basic rooms but clean and comfy. Well stocked bar, good food served by friendly staff. The parking is a bit tight for bigger cars.
Stayed 1 night at the Royal Hotel. Very convenient location just a 5 minute walk into the centre of Ross on Wye.
Lovely hotel with easy check in. We had a spacious double room which was clean and had all the amenities you needed. The staff are lovely and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Nice bar area and the food is very good( superb breakfast)
Highly recommend this hotel.
A great place to stay in Ross-on-Wye.
Our room on the first floor was comfortable with everything we needed for the night.
Our dinner in the restaurant with table service was really good. We didn’t have breakfast but it sounds good with a buffet plus served hot breakfast.
The only downside was the double bed seemed quite small - the superior rooms have king sized beds so we will book that next time.
Location to visit the historic town was perfect, everything in walking distance not too hilly. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was spacious clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast and dinner was well presented & very good with lots of choice and value for money.
