"Room clean and comfortable. Staff I encountered were pleasant. Breakfast was good despite large coach party one morning though that should have been foreseen but staff very busy as a result"

"The common area was clean as was the linen. Staff was non existent did not realise was a self service accomodation. Parking was there but I did not need it. The room carpet could do with shampoo and the cupboard with dusting . The bathroom fixture though looked new could do with upgrade.. ."

"Check in was smooth and easy, clean, well lit corridors. Room was spacious if a tad dated. Spotlessly clean. Ample Car Parking. Lovely bar area. Restaurant good. Typical Pub Grub that was served piping hot and with a smile from the staff. Would we stay again while visiting family? Absolutely we would!! "

"Second stay and a whole much better. Breakfast excellent as ever, room facilities were in good condition, including a working fridge except for a broken window handle. Still couldn't turn the radiator off, so too hot and the Spa could be more accessible with priority given to staying guests."

"Check-in was easy, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was small with stains on the carpet and marks on the wall - not great. Evening meal was very good in terms of quality. Not great was serving time and overall state of chairs and tables. Chairs were absolutely uncomfortable and tables wabbly in restaurant and breakfast room. Parking was OK, but road into property is full of potholes."

"This was one of the best places I have stayed in a long time. The look of the Ribchester Arms, when we arrived, was impressive. We had a very large room and bathroom, both very modern with a 'fridge and juices, milk, drinks and biscuits. The staff were very helpful and looked after us. Breakfast was freshly cooked and pretty good. We ate there a couple of nights and the food was wonderful. A recommended place to stay ."

"I booked a single room with twin bed but upgraded to a double bed and got a better room. The room itself was quite dark, except for first thing in the morning when the sun lit up the room and the bathroom, which was nice. The bedroom had only one central light (quite dark) and one bedside light, with no lighting over by the desk where the kettle/tea/coffee were, which was a little awkward. The bathroom was very nice, light, airy and spacious. The room itself was up and down a lot of stairs,...

"I would say it’s a steady 3 star. It’s not really geared to be a hotel, room facilities very basic although clean. Tv signal was poor even on BBC1. Breakfast was a free continental which didn’t even have fresh pastries. It’s ok but for the money I paid I expected better. There was a wedding on Saturday night which was a bit chaotic but thankfully it’s away from the rooms so wasn’t too loud. Probably wouldn’t return unfortunately."

"Room cleanliness was okay — you get what you pay for. My main issue was the amount of noise inside the hotel itself. For the last couple of nights of my stay, there was heavy music and loud conversations continuing into the early hours of the morning, which was completely unacceptable for a hotel environment.
