Great food at the Derby Arms

We really enjoyed our overnight stay at the Derby Arms recently. In particular, the food with lots of fish options and the friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend.

My 80th!

I was staying at the Inn where I was to celebrate my 80th Birthday Party with my family. The staff were very attentive and the food was excellent. I will attach a view from my window, my full English breakfast, and my birthday cake.

Wonderful Place To Stay

Last minute decision to stay whilst travelling from Devon to Scotland. What a wonderful, welcoming place. Food was fantastic in the pub area. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Highly recommend. Will stay at The Derby Arms again.

Great stay x

We stayed as a family of three, we received a warm welcome dined in the restaurant and stayed one night. Food and service was great. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we all had a decent a nights sleep, there were a couple of things we had to ask for but these were quickly provided for us. We’d stay here again :-)

We stayed here for a nearby wedding. We had a family room which was really spacious with a lovely, and again spacious, ensuite bathroom with bath and shower. Staff were really friendly and we had a great night's sleep. We paid for cooked breakfast which was made to order and also included some self serve cereals. If we were in the area longer we would have loved to have a drink in the bar area and try the food.

Great venue for food & location for walkers

Trip was for an overnight stop seeing friends at a charity event at Chipping village hall. Arrived at 4 pm and had a superb meal before going out. Very good selection on menu with a variety of special dishes. The staff were very friendly and made our stay very pleasant with a good hearty breakfast the following morning. Matt was very friendly & most helpful telling us about future events. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and certainly would return again.

The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained with good decor. The bathroom had a powerful shower and enough room around the basin for your wash bags. Lighting in the bathroom is always an issue for me (!) so as usual I had my mirror on the window sill in search of natural light. We ate in the pub on the first night, sharing a platter. Good menu. My partner sampled the local beer and was pleased he did. Although a full breakfast was on offer we just had a yoghurt & some toast. The toast tasted slightly fish flavoured??? It was a trip visiting family, the location was good and we would stay there again.
