"Yet again another great stay at The Corinthia palace. This was our 3rd visit. Lovely rooms, restaurants are fab. The pool area is very good. All the staff are great and most helpful. "Overall, our stay at Hard Rock Hotel Malta was excellent, and almost everything was perfect. However, the experience was seriously let down by the night-shift staff, whose attitude and lack of professionalism were extremely disappointing. On our first night, when we arrived at our booked room, we were told that we were being upgraded. In reality, we were given a room with a very poor view at the back of the building, overlooking construction work, with practically nothing pleasant to look at. The following day, we spoke with the daytime manager, who was professional and helpful and moved us to a fantastic room overlooking the pools and the city. This made a huge difference and showed us what the hotel was actually capable of offering. Unfortunately, our experience with the night shift was consistently poor. On another night, I tried to order late-night snacks and beverages, only to be told that wine was not available and that several kitchen items were unavailable as well. When I asked for a simple modification to a sandwich, I was told that they would not make any changes and that their only job was to heat up the products. The attitude was unhelpful, dismissive, and completely inconsistent with the standards expected from a hotel of this level. The most disappointing part was that this was not an isolated incident involving one employee. We encountered three members of the night-shift team, including two reception staff members and the night manager,"

"Location is pretty good, close enough to either go on trips, explore Valletta and near restaurants, bars or those wanting more excitement Paceville a short walk. Be prepared for building work, it’s not horrendous, just a fair bit happening in St Julian’s and very nearby. Staff stand out at the hotel in every aspect, very friendly and service with a smile everywhere, including booking taxis. Hotel is 5 star which at night looks lovely, maybe like some reviews said a little dated in the daytime. Rooms are well serviced if a little dated again and Spa is great. Think over the 4 full days we stayed in an executive room, we visited the executive lounge for snacks early afternoon and drinks/nibbles every day; there was an Indian lady, I think Pria? Her smiling face, general conversation made it so lovely to go there. There’s more choice for breakfast in Fra Martino and we managed a table outside every morning. If you like sun bathing by pools, with bars at each it’s perfect, we preferred the Lido and still received an occasional drinks service, There is a small sandy beach though in the bay if you walk a few hundred metres, just expect it to be busy peak season. Debated whether to give it 4 or 5 stars not due to it needing refurbishing a bit, more down to the advertised sea view. My main negative it was a side sea view at best sat on the balcony of 517. The photo showing the sea view is standing up and turning 45 degrees, sat down it’s a nice view of car parks and housing hmmm"

"Amazing hotel/b&b, location was a bit out of the tourist areas but this is what we wanted. Staff were so lovely couldn’t do enough for you - place was immaculate they cleaned everywhere daily… breakfast was good - hot bacon and eggs daily, toast and plenty of continental style options as well as tea and coffee and juices Pool was nice and clean and very needed in the heatwave they had when we stayed. Local area was quaint and pretty, lots of nice restaurants and bars if you wanted to explore without going too far into mainstream valetta/st pauls/etc - Lidl about 30 min walk away for any adhoc needs (room has a mini fridge which is stocked with cold water beer soft drinks daily as well, but if you needed anything else this was close by) Overall a lovely place to stay, well managed/maintained and would happily stay there again"
