"The staff at this hotel was particularly friendly, helpful and accommodating. The location was also great- just to the north of old Lyon, right along the river and an easy walk to most of the sites. The lobby and bar/restaurant area had a very fresh and recently renovated look and was a pleasure to walk through every day. The room itself was a bit dated but large and comfortable. Would definitely recommend."

"Brilliant location. Everything was so close by, from tourist attractions to the local supermarket and shops. Very comfortable beds. Clean. Great coffee machine in the room. Beautiful bathroom. Very quiet and stylish hotel. I felt at home. Anthony, who works at the reception, was so sweet and helpful. When you enter the hotel you are welcomed by the most beautiful smell, which you can buy to take home. I hope I'll be back as I fell in love with Lyon."

"Carlton Hotel Lyon is a lovely, renovated old hotel in the Presquile area of Lyon. It is convenient to all you want to see in Lyon. It is also air-conditioned. Our room was comfortable with a large, modern bathroom. Breakfast was abundant. The staff members were very helpful and speak excellent English. They arranged a car to the airport (which is far out of town) for an early morning flight. If we are ever back in Lyon, we would definitely stay at the Carlton again."
