The staff were well educated about the property and provided lots of information. Mario and Leon from the bar were great. The General Manager (forgot his name) was also very helpful. The girl who checked us in and all the staff were professional, helpful and always available. The entire property was truly amazing. Words can't describe the beauty and character of it. It must be seen in person to appreciate. Amazing is the best word to describe it, and I highly recommend that if you can, stay at this amazing Art Hotel!!

This was a small quirky hotel. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Pool area always had ample sun beds. A little bit far out but the hourly shuttle to Verona certainly helped this. We never ate an evening meal in the hotel as we were out every night. The breakfast was a big let down…… very basic but the most annoying thing about it was you had to pay if you wanted anything from the à la carte menu….even if it was a basic omelette!!! We’ve never had to pay 1p more for any items of breakfast and stayed at so many 5 star hotels. This in my opinion really lets the hotel down. Scrambled eggs of a fashion were available in the hotel dishes but looked far from fresh. This may appear to be a minor point but to us it let this rather “different” hotel down. The grounds are beautiful though

It was such a treat to be able to wander through the beautiful gardens. Dinner was fabulous at their fancier restaurant. I did not do any of the spa services. However, I did enjoy the sauna, steam room, and soaking tub that was available. The room itself was lovely and well maintained. The art itself makes for a very interesting backdrop, there’s always something new to look at. A bit colorful, but fun.

The AC was broken and the staff still put us in the room. We got conflicting information on how long the AC was down. We switched rooms; however, the AC still did not work until our last day. We heard other guests had the same complaint. There were no apologies, only a bottle of wine sent to our room. The property is beautiful and the restaurant to very good. I would not stay here again as the front desk service was not helpful and condescending when we asked why they would put us in a room that they knew that the AC was broken. This is not a 5 star property.

The property internally was excellent but the Swimming Pool sides and bottom are covered in Mold & Algae. It’s actually slippery on the bottom of the pool which is dangerous !! The pool needs a shock dose of Chlorine asap !

Not what it used to be

We knew this hotel from when we had stayed a year ago. Oh how low it has fallen! No service at the pool, no service at the bar, no air conditioner (despite being at 29 degrees ) We had booked two nights, but we chose to leave after the first one as it was just such a terrible experience. Will not come back again.

Arrived to find bed bugs in the bed. The front desk basically said no there’s not, had to show the manager and she still refused to rectify the situation. I left as they took more than 30 minutes to accommodate a new room in there old-stinky and apparently bug infested property. And still refused to refund me. Far from a 5 star hotel.

Having had to chase room availability, when one did become available, was shown to it by way of a guided tour of the hotel as she had never been to that part of the hotel before! Absolutely amazing building, art decoration, functionality. The villa is just beautiful all around. Great job in converting it into a hotel. Great lobby, pool area, spa, restaurants. Rooms are very comfortable. Staff was very helpful in all aspects of our needs. Not much at walking distance, aside from a couple restaurants, dry clean, pharmacy. The region around it is very beautiful, with many wineries at close distance, lake Garda about 1h drive away. We had a blast in our 4 nights stay.
