I stayed in the Eye Hotel in late October / early November 2017, while visiting Utrecht for a concert at the Tivoli Vredenburg. The hotel is conveniently situated about 10 to 15 minutes walk from Utrecht Centraal railway station (and about 10 minutes from the Tivoli Vredenburg venue). This part of the city has a wide choice of bars, restaurants and shops, and yet is not overly busy - so not excessively noisy. 10/10 hotel. Second time staying here. Rooms are spacious and stunning decor (altho some wear and tear in the rooms). The jet bath is incredible! The breakfast buffet is also great, lots of choices depending on what you fancy. I do think some of the food could be seasoned better but still good. Excellent hotel! The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and couldn’t do enough. We did not eat in the hotel but the food seemed good. The room was large and clean. We decided to do the self clean option which meant we didn’t have our room cleaned every day, this was to be eco-friendly, and as a reward the hotel would give you a voucher for a drink every day you did self clean! Very happy with our stay and will be returning to this hotel!

When we booked we really didn't know if this was a good location/hotel or not but we didn't need to worry it was perfect. 7 minute walk to the nearest metro and then only 15 mins to the central station, easy. The staff were really friendly and very helpful if you had any questions. We got our metro tickets from reception, same price as buying them at the station, so that saved us some time.
