"Old fashioned Japanese hotel, but clean environment.
Free coffee on arrival and light breakfast was offered.
Open air onsen was very nice
Only issue was, there was no toilet inside the room which things a bit interesting at night when the human nature was calling.
Otherwise lovely hotel with friendly staff"

"Excellent traditional experience, onsen is great and the traditional food sets (both breakfast and dinner) are very nice.
Only problems I had overall were maintaince going on during my stay (landscaping and some light building work), and some parts of the building are showing their age (especially in the onsen and lobby areas).
Bonus note, some of the hole in the wall restaurants nearby are excellent and the rual area nearby is great for a break from the big cities (it has that fresh air...

"Amazing, regardless of price one of the best places I've stayed in Japan.
15 mins walk from Saga station in a quiet residential area and only 10 mins walk to multiple restaurants, Saga castle, balloon museum, library etc
Hotel is the wrong word for this place,it is a stand alone home, perfect for a couple but extra space and futons for kids or another couple in comfort.
The quality and fit out of the space is amazing, huge living area, fully equipped kitchen and laundry, incredibly it is equipped with Gaggenau,Miele and Liebherr appliances, the bathroom is huge with a full size bath and French doors that open to a private courtyard; the owner, who is an absolute gentleman was clearly thinking with his heart when he built this place, cost clearly not a concern. It is tasteful and very well executed, extremely rare to find this level of detail in Japan at anything remotely close to what we paid.
I'll be returning here, to do absolutely nothing, it is that good."
