"The Villa was new and up scale and roomy. It was super clean and great instruction on how to deal with the needs for our 2 days stay. The bedrooms was good size with comfortable Queens size bed and not those twin size. The beds were great and firm enough you know they weren't cheap material. The amenities were great with the sauna room was clean and equipped with sauna towel along with the private hot tub in the unit and no need to share. The balcony was great for BBQ with family and friends....

The property photos — many items shown are old, broken, or completely unusable. There was no outdoor lighting, and the glasses were dusty and poorly maintained. "The view of the lake from the room is extraordinary. It’s also very spacious, with a large balcony, kitchen and living room with a huge screen for viewing. The final plus is the in-room onsen/hot tub along with a sauna, with a view of the lake. It feels like a luxury unit for a reasonable price, especially if you have a large group. Wonderful place to stay and highly recommended."

"Booked only for one night. Wished we would have booked for another stay. Beautiful property. Utilize the free shuttle available from the train station to the hotel. Don’t attempt to walk especially if carrying luggage as there are steep hills. You will be asked to remove your shoes before entering hotel so make sure you have decent socks on as this is a shoeless property."

"This was the most pleasant and luxurious stay that I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. From the moment you walk onto the property to the moment you check-out, the staff are there to help you with luggage, check-in, settling in, and planning your days both on the property and to see the surrounding area. This property is located in the gorgeous mountains of Hakone an offers the most gorgeous views of the mountains right from the room and balconies where you can bathe in your private onsen. Also included in your stay are traditional breakfast and dinner which on their own are worth the price. This experience is nothing short of amazing and I would recommend anyone travelling to Japan to experience at least one night here."
