Our family loved staying here. Looks like it had been recently updated inside and was extremely comfortable. Great location too. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Easy to find

After hopping off the ferry, not knowing Wellington area, Trentham motel was easy to find and no far. Loved how our room was all set up for us since we arived late after check in hours. The light was left on for us making it easy to find our room. Will definitely be back!

It was out first time in the area and we were very happy with the motel. We were especially impressed with the information provided in the room about the history of the area and with the park grounds across the road. A great legacy for the town.

In town for a couple of days. The weather was so Hot and humid we were very greatful for the air conditioning. Lovely room, kitchenette, table, couch, comfy bed, and the water pressure in the shower was amazing. Defiantly coming back next time in town.

Convenient stop off on the way to Wellington, so we could visit some regional parks (good old Kiwi Guardian hunts). Although the outside of the units look run down, and the industrial sized rubbish bins were a bit of a put off (and the trailer full of old furniture), it was a very pleasant place to stay. Inside our room was spacious, clean (apart from under the bed, but a lot places are slack at cleaning there) and suited our needs. The owners/managers were helpful and friendly. We would probably stay here again if we were in the area.

Family cooking without tent

The summer suddenly turned cold and rainy on us, so we quickly booked this nice family unit allowing us to prepare our own meals with the good size fridge, all kitchen utensils and stove, alas no fish or curry cooking as per the notice on the wall!

Quiet hotel. You did to hear the other guests. Room was tidy and clean. Needed more space in main bedroom around bed. No table or drawers to put suitcase or clothes on.
