The place was beautiful and the service was great. The walk to the Firefly is a little scary at night but paet of the experience

Firefly is such a charming little oasis tucked right outside of central Ubud. The staff was accommodating and very helpful. I enjoyed my stay here very much and look forward to returning

It’s a nice hotel, the place is very comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful. It’s eco and you have to walk or bike for a few minutes to get there, but it’s worth it.

We had a memorable stay at Fire Fly!! We stayed in the Gold House which was a wee trek to the main facilities but had everything we needed!! Was bigger than we expected and had a fully equipped kitchen and two huge bathrooms! The decor was beautiful! We loved sitting on the upstairs balcony each morning enjoying Bali coffee overlooking the rice fields! It was a short wark to main streets for shopping and eating and dance shows etc! A highlight for us was arriving on a Saturday and joining the family dinner with other guests!! Highly recommend ❤️

This Hotel is not for everyone
Hotel is in deep rice paddy 12-15 minutes walk. No way to carry heavy luggage’s to this hotel. Building is wood and open air. At night mosquitoes visit even you have a net around the bed. I feel so insecure. Their cat likes to sneak in my room and jump on my bed. I booked two nights stay but left early the next day. Breakfast is not included and dinner and snacks are well priced. It’s good for some nature lovers but not me. I can hear all conversations from next room.

Thanks for your review, sounds like you need a more traditional hotel. We are a nature lodge so please don’t book if that is not your thing. And yes the cat is friendly company so please don’t book if you don’t like cats. Sounds like you got a mosquito inside your net, there are tricks to sleeping with mosquito nets for sure. This is part of tropical living

Open rice field at the front and balcony overlooking the palm forest at the back. Fireflies at night were magical, roaming across the rice field. 3 minutes walk from Sweet Orange, with the best Ayam Salad so far. Serene, cool room, good size with self sustained kitchenette. Outdoor shower is amazing. Location is just a stone thrown away from the hustling bustling main road of Ubud and 10’ walk to the Ubud Palace. Very convenient yet secluded enough. Love everything about it. On the flip side, if you would like to have amenities around you and not so fond of being immersed in pure nature, this place might not be for you.

So glad you liked it. Yes it is definitely a nature lodge :) but there are all the amenities you need just a walk away. Staff are also available to assist with anything you may need.

This stay is Amazing! The only thing I can think of is the shower wasn’t warm, but it wasn’t cold either. The lobby is stunning, view incredible, food was great, and the staff were superb. I would highly recommend this stay.

Wir waren zwei Nächte im Erdgeschoss vom „Birdsnest“, eine sehr besondere Bambuskonstruktion ohne feste Wände, wie ein großer dreistöckiger Korb geflochten. Spätestens im dritten Stock sollte man trittsicher und schwindelfrei sein. Es gibt praktische Schließfachschränke, in die zwei große Koffer rein passen. Es ist ein bisschen wie gehobenes Camping (Glamping). Die Lage ist genial, mitten im Grünen und in Reisfeldern und doch nahe einem der lebendigen Ortsteile von Ubud (Peliatan). Vielen Dank an die sehr Freundlichen Mitarbeiter, besonders den Koffertransporteur (die Zufahrt ist mit dem Auto nicht möglich) und den super motivierten „Komet“ mit dem strahlenden Lachen! Ich hatte das Granola Frühstück mit viel Obst… tolle Preis/Leistung.

Your description is perfect! You booked our bottom birds nest which is our most basic and budget oriented. We are so glad you enjoyed it and liked your stay. We want to remind people reading it that for those who like our style but want something a bit more upscale we have a lot of good options. Check out our other rooms.

I just want to say my stay was excellent, staff there were very attentive and cheerful, the place is unique which you can’t compare it to anything, menu pricing is reasonable too, I saw their efforts in creating comfy environment for the guests, if I ever come back to Ubud, I’ll definitely stay again!!
