We had such a great stay at the champlung sari hotel! We came with a large family group and had 4 rooms. The hotel itself is nothing fancy, but it's kept spotlessly clean and the rooms are very spacious, aircon is cool and fridges are cold. The breakfast buffet and restaurant food is great with very reasonable pricing also. The only disclaimer I would put here is that you have to be ok with the monkeys wandering freely and occasionally causing mischief i.e stealing your bag of chips haha. We personally loved the monkeys antics and it provided amusement for the kids. The stand out thing about this hotel though is all of the staff and the friendliness and hospitality they have for the guests. Really lovely people with a family vibe. We will 100% return!

Lovely haven in a busy town

Total chilled vibe around the pools, with service 2nd to non. Loved the fact the Monkeys visit in an afternoon and cause a little bit of entertainment by doing things like throwing the roof tiles onto the floor or just having a good nosey at what people are doing.

Convenient location close to the centre of Ubud and close to the monkey forest. The service and friendliness from the staff was excellent. Large buffet breakfast and nice restaurant overlooking the beautiful pool. Beautiful gardens, trees and forest around the property. A wonderful and enjoyable stay.

This place was good for the Money. Very friendly staff and helpful. They’ve got no idea how to clean the shower glass so looks very grubby but the rest of the cleaning was great. Very ordinary breakfast no real juice only cordial but what can you expect for $50 a night.

The people there were kind and helpful. As a solo travel and being a small woman at times too many monkies were there. But they always offered to escort me to my room. The buffet breakfast was great.

AMAZING location right next to Monkey Forest. Couldn’t be more convenient walking to Ubud palace and the markets. Many, many options for food nearby. Couldn’t be happier with our decision to stay here and it made for an unbelievable experience. Staff was amazing and facilities were pristine yet authentic. The air conditioner deserves an award for its service and was a lifesaver. 10/10 will recommend.

Hotel property needs updating of their rooms and old bathrooms. Rooms and bathrooms (we occupied 3 rooms) are big compared to others but look tired and need fixing. Staff are courteous.

Was okay. Issue water would cut off and you would have to wait for 20 mins +. They also only give one towel per person in the room which i dont think is great as you will sweat alot and have showers and you will only have the one towel for the face and body. But staff are really nice and friendly.

The only reason why I chose this hotel was because of its proximity to monkey forest as my husband was participating in a race there very early. We just stayed with our family for a night (Thanks God) and to be fair I must say we chose the cheapest fare option as it was only for a night. However, this place urgently needs a renovation everything about it is very sad. From the staff worn out shirts, to the bad maintained bathrooms. The rooms with different shades of paint trying to cover mold, and many other things that need improvement. If you are on a tight budget, and need a place to spend the night and really need to be close to monkey forest then go for it and maybe try a room with higher price range. Otherwise I would not recommend this place at all. The staff was nice and try their best, we got to sleep but the standard of quality of this place is very low. It urgently needs improvements and renovations.

Dewan was our driver and guide throughout our stay. He was knowledgeable about the history of Bali in general and Ubud. Courteous. Champlung resort has a diamond with him as an employee. He had excellent recommendations about where to eat and visit. He was the icing on the cake. Front desk was excellent. If anything was needed they were on it. Your minutes from the monkey forest so had plenty on site. Employees were awesome to make sure monkeys were under control. If looking for original Balinese experience. This is the place to go. 1 minute walk to a comparable US 7-11 store. My wife has allergies to seafood and the chef cooked a special breakfast for her. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. just follow Dewans advice.

Great location
