We had a lovely time at Una vida. We had reserved the one bedroom suite via Expedia in which photographs had shown a bathtub however our suite did not have a bathtub. We inquired with the staff and the following day we were switched to another one bedroom suite which did have both the shower and a bath as we had been looking forward to. Other than this, the room was excellent, very clean. The staff were very attentive and kind. The best part is the yoga type classes available at Bardo at no extra cost. We visited late December and thus seemed less busy at this time so the complex was quiet. The pools are lovely particularly the accessible Bardo pool. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend Una vida if your looking for a relaxing stay in walking distance of downtown Tulum.

The location is convenient. There’s a local food court area close and it was great. I really didn’t feel welcomed during my stay. The check in procedures and policies were overwhelming. The daily security deposit instead of a flat rate is a lot and having to sign your name exactly like your passport definitely threw me off. Beside that nice place.

Beautiful serene oasis with kind, friendly and helpful staff. Guadalupe and Shiomara were just great and assisted us with sites to see in the area, restaurants and currency exchange sites. We liked the Ananda restaurant as well and access to the sister Hotel Bardo and the yoga and Qi Gong classes was much appreciated. Our couples massage and complimentary wine after was just what we needed to finish our stay. Absolutely wonderful place and experience!

Love the ambiance and pools/ decor - the ability to use shared amenities with hotel bardo is a plus as well. The breakfast is always amazing, I have been to una vida a few times and will be back.

Una Vida is a beautiful bohemian themed boutique hotel. Their staff was friendly and helpful with each encounter. The food and drinks at the hotel and the Hotel Bardo were tasty. We stayed in the 3 bedroom villa. It was amazing! My BFF enjoyed the privacy of our own pool. My personal favorite was the outdoor shower. I travel alot and have very high expectations. Una Vida exceeded them all.

We had a fantastic stay at Una Vida! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere and decor were beautifully done, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. Our room was spacious and spotless, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. Additionally, the location was excellent, with plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. The only minor downside was that the bed was a bit stiff for our liking, but overall, it didn’t take away from our wonderful experience. We would definitely stay here again!

Rumble in the Jungle

This hotel has great service with the jungle feel. Food and drinks were pricey but decent. As beautiful as the atmosphere is the location is close to a highway which was noisy and kills the vibe to an extent. Security is a bit of a concern as the room locks are merely that of a bathroom door. We enjoyed that it is a smaller hotel and it felt like a home away from home with a quick walking distance to downtown.

Con- Stayed on the property for 1 week and never had hot water for showering. It being a tropical warm area it was manageable but not alway the most comfortable. Brought it up to service desk but couldn’t get a good answer or a fix to the issue. Pro- staff was very accommodating for food, drinks and safe travel. Atmosphere was very peaceful and pleasant. Inside the property was absolutely gorgeous and safe.

Our family of three—two adults and one teenager—stayed in the one-bedroom suite, and it was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into an oasis of tranquility. The atmosphere was peaceful and calming, setting the tone for a truly relaxing getaway. Every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations—the beautifully designed rooms, the serene pool area, the exceptional dining, and the attentive, friendly staff all contributed to an unforgettable experience. We spent a full week here and loved every moment. Having a car was a great advantage (which I highly recommend for Tulum), as the location was conveniently close to everything we wanted to explore. This hotel is absolutely amazing, the property is stunning, everywhere you turned was nice to look at. Our room had a beauty private plunge pool and the main pool was even better. Overall nice stay

Checkin took way too long. The room was really nice. There were ants the whole time on the counter where the safe is located. The mosquitoes will eat you alive so bring bug spray. The safe is extremely helpful and nice. The food is really good BUT very expensive. The bed has no box spring so the bed gets painful the longer the stay.

This was a last minute trip and so glad we decided to come. I’ve been to Tulum before but stayed at a big resort, this experience at a small boutique hotel was much different and I preferred it. The staff was very attentive. The hotel is a hidden gem as the surrounding area doesn’t have much and appears to be under development. In addition, we were charged for a stain on pillows from hair product but I get that every country and establishment have their own rules.
