Rustic wee paradise

Lovely rustic wee place to stay in Fuerteventura, with donkeys and gardens to boot. Quiet places but nice and central on the island so if you have a rental car your all sorted.

It was a very interesting experience. Very rural and peaceful. It was true to the photographs but did feel like we were staying in an antique shop. The bed wasn’t very comfortable but the cottage was well equipped with mod-cons and a nice shower room. Unfortunately we didn’t use the pool as there was too many flies and a strong farmyard smell. Overall not really our thing but would appeal to others!

Fantastic communication from Doromas from booking before arrival which made our arrival smooth and easy. Lovely authentic Spanish country cottage, lots of character and everything you could need. The fan in the bedroom and lounge helped with our first few nights until we acclimatised to the heat. Wonderful to be able to see the donkeys every morning and the friendly cats who never intruded into our little house. Wonderful views over the mountains and nearby extinct volcano and centrally located so that you can visit every part of the island - which we did with our hire car. Nothing was too much for Doramas, such a helpful host and always there by WhatsApp if you need information or help. Loved our week's stay here, would recommend it much more than any tourist resort, much better for Eco-tourism. Thank you Doramas!

Absolutely loved this place and would stay here again if I return to Fuerteventura. Its a very quiet and peaceful place to stay, far from the tourist crowds. Downside is it isn't terribly convenient to much, including to restaurants and grocery stores - there are a couple of former in town with limited areas, latter was limited to something more like a convenience store than a full-blown grocery store. Absolutely not the place to stay if you aren't renting a car. Loved having the seating area right outside the door to the rooms, I ate breakfast out there every morning. I was joined by two or three of the farm's cats each time, which I enjoyed but I could see being irritating if you dislike cats or are allergic to them. They're VERY friendly, if you leave any room at all between yourself and table, they WILL jump into your lap. Rooms were big, no air conditioning but if you keep the shutters closed during the day and air the place at night, it remains pleasantly cool. Bathroom good, though will note that, as is not uncommon on this island, the plumbing cannot handle toilet paper and you must discard toilet paper in a small bin with a lid. Bed and sofa were both comfortable. Kitchenette is solid, has a stovetop and a full-sized fridge. I kept waking up pretty early, so can attest that if you wake before dawn the stars are fabulous outside.

Very relaxing two weeks in cozy apartment with friendly staff and animals. Location was very convenient for exploring different hiking routes of the island. Everything looked just like in the photos and there were no hassles whatsoever, just a very good holiday.

Lovely rural stay

If you enjoy being surrounded by nature and animals, this is the place to go. Lovely little village nearby, silent starry nights, friendly donkeys... our cottage (Yugo) was clean and spacious. We loved the welcome gifts that were left in the entrance for us. hoping to go back there soon!

Agroturismo Gayria is een prima uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen en fietstochten in een prachtig maanlandschap. De appartementen komen uit op een mooie binnenplaats waar je buiten kan zitten. Met de huurauto is alles op het eiland goed te bereizen. Genoten van de rust/stilte, het appartement was schoon en redelijk goed uitgerust met huisraad.

Wonderful

The finca is very beautiful and decorated with care. The apartment had all the amenities needed, even for a long stay. The location is convenient : 25mn from the airport and fairly central in Fuerteventura, it is easy to go in every part of the island from there. The host is very helpful and takes very good care of his guests. We can even taste products from the farm. I highly recommend this place.

Rural location and perfecty peaceful.

La Gayria is an ideal location if you are looking for peace and quiet. The location is central for exploring Fuerteventura. A car is recommended and the nearest tow Antigua is about 5 minute drive. Less than 15 minute drive to Gran Tarajal where you have a nice beach and lots of shops, cafes and restaurants.
