I think it is imperative for Palazzo Branda to be transparent about their hotel. First of all accessibility is a true challenge as you have to navigate several slopes to drop off your luggage and any older members in the group. Second after you drop off , unless you are a truly skilled driver it’s a real challenge to go to the parking area of the hotel which is at the bottom of the hill. After parking you have to climb a steep slope and climb some steps to reach the entrance to the hotel. We discovered that it operates as B & B and the breakfast was very average. The rooms are dark with limited lighting . There’s one woman at the front desk to help with check in and who tried to troubleshoot in her own limited way!
It’s a hotel housed in a building from 1263 which is truly amazing but I would’ve preferred to visit it as a historic site optionally than stay in it.
Next day we moved into their second hotel and felt it was easier to navigate but the amenities and breakfast were still very mediocre!
