Well worth a stay for the price.
Fantastic Hotel.Great service friendly welcome.Room was spacious warm and comfortable,nice touch with the sparkling and still water tea coffee and Welsh cakes. Bathroom was lovely with a rain shower and roomy.Food in the Bistro was top notch tasty reasonably priced and good beer.Only downside is no parking street parking only. Although they dont do breakfast you get a complimentary £5 greggs voucher which is only 5 mins away.

Really nice stay. Hotel is relatively basic but well designed, clean, modern and comfortable in a great location for the Brecon Beacons area or Cardiff. Really handy having a pub / restaurant on site too but there’s plenty of places to shop or buy food on the high street . Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Only minor issue was click-and-collect food feature was not working and shower tray leaked a little but other than that a great value stay. Would definitely return.

Gobsmacked!!!
Toilet had left over pee not flushed, ?cleaned☹️ Free breakfast was Greggs vouchers Noise block ear muffs....poor quality, didnt do the job as they kept popping out. Windows not double glazed, could count cars that went past.

i had a really nice stay,the room was lovely and comfortable with little extras (water,biscuits) the bar itself was very nice so was the food. the staff were very accomodating from the bar staff to the cleaners and the maintenance man

Had the Deluxe double room. Initially there was a problem with the booking but the manager or owner who was there was kind enough to fix it and still give us the room we had booked. Nice location, spacious room, you won't be disappointed.

Sadly despite this property being spotlessly clean and excellent value we just cant recommended it. We had told the staff we had a very long journey to Treorchy for an funeral the next day. The room was directly over the bar and outside drinking area and we couldnt get to sleep until after 11.30pm. Although not the Pubs fault the heavy traffic started outside at 5am , and after trying to sleep on two very uncomfortable mattresses we left the Bistro exhausted. Few things to note the place is not disabled friendly due to the rooms all being upstairs again i did mention mobility problems to the manager after booking the room but no comments were made to me advising about the stairs to the rooms. Sadly as this could be a fantastic place the location and noise from the pub prevents us from visiting again . But full praise to the owners for putting together great budget rooms which included a great range of tea/ coffee / water and toiletries . If you dont mind noise its fantastic value and a brilliant price .

Great little spot, handy for the hills
Looks to be a recently modernised pub/ hotel, which has been done well. Staff are super friendly and accommodating and the rooms are well fitted out. Our room was right above the pub and front door, on the main road, which was ok for us, but might be a little noisy for those going sleep early? Only slight negatives were bathroom wasn’t clean, the floor could do to see a mop. Also, grab & go breakfast was a £5 Greggs vouchers, which doesn’t really get a lot, especially over 3 days. There are local cafes and a Co-op if needed. Owner was very accommodating of us with our bikes too, which was a bonus

Good Hotel, shame about breakfast
Nice rooms, good shower. Easy to find parking spot on the street. Please note there is pub downstairs so could be noisy. It was ok when windows were shut but once you opened it was very loud (Saturday night) Shame Hotel does not offer breakfast, you will get £5 voucher to use at Greggs (in my opinion not enough for two people)

Perfect in every way
This property is exceptional because of its excellent modernistic and super clean rooms using natural materials, although the en suite in Room 7 was really too small, its excellent food ordered off a wide ranging menu and perfectly served but especially because of its super-professional enthusiastic, well trained and young staff members working well as a team. There is plenty of on street parking adjacent to the property and a Greggs voucher covers breakfast.

Great stay
Lovely stay at Cardiff Bistro Hotel. Great bunch of people that work there🙌Friendly and helpful and the food was amazing👌 We stayed in the deluxe room and it was beautiful, had everything we needed and more, very comfortable. Well situated as only 30 mins away from the Brecon Beacons and 4 waterfalls walk(highly recommended) Will definitely stay again *****
